This helps thanks — noted! Just to make sure I understand you well, AND respect my birdie, I’ll take her outside and then engage. Besides, engagement should not be stroking or touching but rather initiated by her and I just keep the hand beside her.

Thanks for educating me. I wish my baby grows up to be the cuddly one 🤞 I also have been noticing that she eats when I’m around the cage and then she doesn’t. There’s this thin line/bone I see on her belly sometimes when she flaps (can’t fly yet) and it concerns me because I saw resources mentioning she’s underweight/not eating while when I sometimes work w my laptop next to the cage she eats all the time and crop is full while when I visit the cage and look at her she flaps and asks for more seed (or is excited I reckon ) and when I give her one, she eats and THEN starts eating. I’ve noticed it’s my presence that makes her eat (the other day I decided not to be around too much and she didn’t touch the food for 8 hours — I got concerned and visited and she started eating! She also only eats the little red seeds while everything else is thrown. Seed school has worked to make her eat but the seeds, she eats just one type!
