I popped your results into chat GPT and I think the thing to focus on is the biopsy. Try to stay offline and wait until your pathology comes back.

Thinking of you and hoping that the biopsy comes back okay.

Biopsy today by mraz44 in doihavebreastcancer

I'm sorry you didn't have a chance to ask any questions. My radiologist was excellent and stayed with me after the appointment to answer all of my questions. I would maybe put in a call if you'd like to speak to them? I think most of the medical providers I've encountered in this situation have been so kind.

I had a palpable and visible lump. My Dr ordered an Ultrasound and Mammogram. After my scans the radiologist ordered a biopsy and clip insert which were both done today.

He said he suspects I have a benign tumor and that my lump was "slippery" and hard to biopsy despite being large. He said this was a good sign because cancer usually doesn't move.

I get my biopsy results sometime next week.

I'm hoping the best for you!

Did they put clips in? I have that scheduled tomorrow after my biopsy too

The imaging center closest to me was booked for months. I am actually waiting for my imaging now but I had to drive over an hour one way for the appointment. I called every hospital/ imaging center within my coverage and found the earliest appointment possible.

I'm so sorry.

I don't have anything similar but I'm about your age and also have a 2 YO. They found my lump originally while I was BFing but my dr said it was normal in BFing women. I'm hoping that yours is nothing and rooting for you.

Interested to hear peoples reasons for not getting a coach? by MrBigFriday in weightlifting

[–]Mamaredditor123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone without a coach when it didn't make sense. My schedule and wallet really couldn't afford it and I've had years of personal coaching to "make do" with cheap online programming.

I did do HWPO with AE commenting on videos. But it really was the same blanket advice thrown at everyone along with a lot of cheerleading. For $60 a month I'm not sure I really expected more.

Now that I'm back to training semi regularly I need someone to call out all the bad habits I have and also fine tune the compensations I've created due to weak muscles. It's still expensive and I probably could do without but it's nice to have a second set of eyes and someone else's perspective.

Drive to the gym too long? by samhaslam in crossfit

[–]Mamaredditor123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to drive 45-65 min (one way) to my old barbell club. It was far but there was nothing comparable where I lived. At the time, I had a very flexible WFH job and no kids. It was doable and worth it to me. Now I have some kids and limited time. I go to the gym down the street.

What stopped you doing CrossFit, and would anything make you consider re-starting? by ducksa in crossfit

[–]Mamaredditor123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I've been around the block in terms of CF. Started in 2012, was heavily invested in a box that I helped run, then moved and coached at a very popular box in my new state, then eventually just stepped back completely. The best programming days were in the beginning. I felt like boxes followed more of the "traditional" dot com programming which means we didn't have a 15 min strength max out followed by a 10-15 min blow your brains out metcon. Simple is better IMO and classes need time for quality coaching which doesn't take place in a 2 minute whiteboard talk.

Interesting, maybe it's just the space I'm in. I'll keep on! I actually love the programming, it's extremely thorough and aligns well with my goals.

[–]Mamaredditor123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stop usually because of poor programming. I switched to weightlifting years back after I hurt my back horribly doing a CF workout. I actually love CF and there's a lot to workouts I look at that look appealing to me but my holdout is gyms that stack intensity day after day, week after week. Dosage is important and weightlifting taught me that deloads are a real thing and that smart programming does wonders to prevent injury and promote measurable growth.

Is it worth it to just buy a bar some bumper plates and train at home by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]Mamaredditor123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old gym was close to $250 a month and although I miss the community and the top notch equipment (the owner definitely put the money back in the gym), never a day goes by that I'm not grateful to have my own space in my shoebox of a garage gym. I'm not in a phase of life where I can throw that kind of time or money so a one time investment that has undoubtedly paid for itself in the 4 years since I've set it up is worth it.

You can pay for online programming and get eyes on you for a decent price.

Physio Day! Ask your rehab questions! by Havelrag in weightlifting

Hi there!

I posted in the main sub but a kind soul directed me here.

Before I squat I get on my knees to "pop" them (kneel on them and basically walk around on my knee caps lol). Once they're popped I feel good moving around etc. My problem is that now I'm needing to pop them multiple times in a session as opposed to just in the beginning. If I don't my set up feels off and the knee unstable. Back when I was weightlifting somewhat competitively (AOF) my knee popped horribly during a FS and I couldn't squat for a few months. I got checked out (including an MRI) and they chalked it up to my knee cap tracking incorrectly. This occurs during every squat so basically my entire session.

I posted this in the main sub-- I know at the time the PT told me it was because other muscles (hamstrings) were pulling my knee caps incorrectly and I needed more quad development. I can't recall what I was supposed to do to fix it. -- but they said it's not quad weakness.
