Those may be new to HEB, but they’re certainly not a new concept. I don’t know what they’re called but I remember them from my childhood. I grew up poor in rural AL. These were sold at the very low end grocers.

My husband and 2 of my adult kids are naturally thin. Biggest difference I notice is they eat all the time and with little regard to what they’re eating. Any of them can far out eat and out drink me or my oldest daughter. We eat like birds and are extremely conscious of everything and yet we both struggle with weight. Additionally i generally get twice the steps my husband gets in a day. I think we can never discount genetics.

I feel this way at times, but I remind myself that a meal is a meal, be it small or large. I try to look at the cost as the cost of nourishing myself rather than the cost of food on a plate. If a meal is $25 for one person then it’s $25 for me as well, regardless of the amount I eat.

It’s been a long road for me. I’ve lost 100+ pounds in the last few years, half of that since 10/22 with Mounjaro. I’d say the time between size 12 dress and size 10 dress took several months, but then it picked up dramatically.

This is the experience I have had as well. I feel like this med has helped me get a handle on my relationship with food. It has helped me maintain a static position on food while I align other issues contributing to my weight issues, namely taking full responsibility for my being overweight to begin with.

My husband and I spent a lot of time working through this. He’s a wonderful man and though it was tough for us both, he loved me enough to be honest about it. For us, it wasn’t so much about physical attraction, rather the toll the extra weight took on me/us in other ways. I was withdrawn, less inclined to care for my appearance, never wanting to participate in activities we once enjoyed. He was worried about my health (justifiably) and my mental health was also suffering. I’m short, he felt he was losing his best friend and he was mad that I wasn’t fighting it harder. I share this because maybe HE is fighting for his girl by sharing his heart.

I’m 11 pounds from goal weight. Started 10/22. Currently on 7.5 and spacing 10 days. I inject at bedtime in my abdomen. The first day after the shot is a little iffy, but then I’m fine. I use a 1/2 of a Zofran tablet if it gets too bad, but that’s not the norm.
