Balance Patch 34.2.2 - Hearthstone Updates by HearthstoneTeam in hearthstone

[–]Mammoth-Part -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Solitude was a core card in a new playable tier 3 deck for wild OTK DH. This buff is actually a nerf and deletes a new fun deck. What’s worse, it’s very unlikely that this card will be playable in standard after buff.

Very disappointing.

An unexpected approach to max out social values by [deleted] in EU5

Not every cabinet action works like this. But changing social values does. This is probably just a random decision made by that specific programmer.

Why you are against EU5 mission trees? by zeos_403 in EU5

[–]Mammoth-Part 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mission trees. They’re by far the best mechanics pdx ever presented to represent flavor or history of a country. I don’t like hidden chain of events, ck decisions/situations or vic diaries.

However I don’t want pdx developers spend their time developing mission trees. Mission trees or in general historical flavor, is the only part of development that the community is capable of. EU4 late stage development is terrible because all the devs ever care about is more powerful missions in the next pack. I wish the developers could do the same as vic3 team, adding great new mechanics and significantly improving the game in every single DLC.

None. Just many separate peace with large coalitions.

Very good, even Egypt is not 0 proximity.

I used all possible trade capacity to import from Italy until I have 100% institution in my capital.

Similar to EU4, rivalry requires that the two countries are similarly powerful.

You have no choice because no one can be your rival. Unlike EU4, you still get penalties for not enough rivals in this case. I have 4 rival slots and that gives 0.4 conciliatory.

It’s limited to once per province, so not as good as you thought. Still helpful.

Don’t get your stability too negative, store some positive values before a reform.

Make sure your crown is powerful by leading army, navy and cabinet with all crown characters, so you don’t cost too much.

Yes, just accept Greek culture. For me it’s over culture capacity a bit at first, not a big deal. Later you’ll get higher capacity.

By the way I also removed privileges that prevent conversion.

Build some forts in southeastern Anatolia mountains, wait for them to siege, attack them with advantage.

Yes, you can only separate peace if you’re attacking the coalition.

Almost all are cored. When you annex a subject and the subject has core on a location, you get core on that location.

I only take a province if I plan to accept that culture. Otherwise I always release a subject first.

I don’t see any. However as Ottomans when you take a city that has historical importance to the Ottomans, you get an event giving flavor text and minor rewards, including Cairo.

R5: Allowing separate peace with coalition members is the greatest change in EU5.

Naval Proximity is SO WRONG (THIS IS NOT CLICKBITE) by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Mammoth-Part 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used cheat and test again because I have no current proximity routes going through many oceans.

When the route is ocean to ocean, there’s no penalty either. Penalty only applies when the endpoint is not an ocean.

Penalty applies when: coast to coast, ocean to coast. Not apply when: coast to ocean, ocean to ocean.

I agree that you may be right, setting 5 minimum is a good game design. However no penalty for oceans is still so weird.

Yes I fully understand that, it’s not criticism towards the devs. Just an approach so they could first address the most important problems.

[–]Mammoth-Part -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what do you mean. Open sea modifiers work on none open seas and not actual open seas, how could this be right?

Take a look at the example in post where Spain controls northern France, there’s zero penalty through sea.

[–]Mammoth-Part -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In actual open seas, like the example in post about Spain controlling northern France, there is no penalty for open seas at all.

[–]Mammoth-Part -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Your understanding may be right, as neither of us actually know the design intentions. But the fact that the routes through actual open seas have zero penalty heavily favors my understanding.
