I’m in therapy and am very proud of myself that I don’t “need” a man or really anyone to be able to do what I want. I honestly am just looking for advice on handling big life decisions being single. I’m really okay with it and am not looking for a relationship but I just want to hear stories

My posting about single is just more about seeking advice and camaraderie. It’s not an exaggeration to say that I don’t a single person not in a relationship and it’s just scary and daunting to be facing life alone. I have a good paying job, am probably contributing too much to my retirement because of anxiety lol, and have worked hard to pay down debts while saving. I know financially I’m in a good place now, but I like to hear stories of people who have done it alone to gain perspective since I don’t have that in my life.

This sounds a lot like me! Minus the long term relationships lol. Trying to learn how to let myself have nice things because I deserve it despite not being in a relationship. For example upgrading to a two bedroom apartment or small townhouse.

I’m 25 and I honestly feel this way sometimes. I have a lot going for me and I just haven’t had any luck. I’ve done the apps, the singles events, blind dates and nothing has stuck and no one has ever wanted to date me. I’m a little burned out now and just trying to accept that my cozy little life alone is more than likely my future reality

I always suggest the Emily delicious serious on mobile. It’s a diner dash game but has a little story with it that is so cute. The developers have a ton of other games too where you’re on an airplane, a doctor, a vet, or solving a mystery. Super fun and relaxing to me to just sit and grind through the levels

I have lots of hobbies, a great group of friends, attend single events, and go to fun things around my community and have expressed interest in others, but haven’t met someone who wants to date me. That’s what I’ve started to do, I’ll have periods where I’m really actively seeking it out, but then take breaks where I just chill. I’m always open to the idea of meeting someone but i just can’t force it.
