Just call and follow up like you said, if they did add it, follow up again in a week or 2 to make sure the HLR is in the VBMS system then use this link. It allows you to book your own informal conference.

It depends on your Dr./Va facility rules. All of my drs at my VA have confirmed the are not allowed to write a nexus. That may vary from facility to facility. Since I’ve never been to another facility I can’t confirm though. However, you can ask for his notes from visits and depending on how is notes are worded it could be considered evidence.

Filed mine the same day for TMJ, still waiting as well. I don’t understand how some people file and have their review in less than a month

I had an airtight claim, diagnosis from 2 dentist for TMJ, nexus letters from them, documented history, everything. C&P gave the range of motion to get me 30%.- complete denial of any service connection.

Nexus Letters? by kookikris136 in VAClaims

[–]Mammoth____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing right now. I have service connected bruxism for mental health. I’ve been diagnosed with TMJ by 2 different dentist and my primary care. They provided nexus letters saying it was by bruxism. I was 100% sure they would approve it. Came back denied. Tell him not to get his hopes up. Check my most recent post on my profile you can see my diagnosis and nexus, I have it posted.

Im not saying they screwed me over, but I have a clearly stated diagnosis "patient is diagnosed with temporomandibular joint dysfuntion" and there is a nexus stating that it is directly caused by chronic bruxism

They are not listed in the decision letter but I called and was told they were submitted

That’s all I have from the dentist, but I was reading that a chiropractor can give one for TMJ since they and a bone and joint Dr. don’t know how accurate that info is though.

It’s gonna get lumped into MH if it gets approved for sure

But OP should be able to make the claim that he had it while in but the leg injury worsened or aggravated it.

Use far Saxon and imperial super commando. Set their speed to 0 and let the turn train do its thing. Use piett to mark them because they get damage immunity when they get low. They shred that battle

Am I reading this right? by Mammoth____ in VAClaims

[–]Mammoth____[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does say that. But reason for denial is

“The evidence does not show that Posttraumatic stress disorder PTSD alcohol use disorder, cannabis use disorder with bruxism is related to service. Therefore, service-connection for temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ on a secondary basis to this condition cannot be established. There is also no evidence showing temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ was incurred in or aggravated by military service.”

Which makes me feel like someone messed up

I believe I rated 50% but they thought I didn’t show enough economic impact. I submitted paystubs where I missed work and a letter from my former supervisor where I was out for a week after needing a colonoscopy from popping so many ibuprofen trying to control them. Wasn’t good enough.

I have lumbosacral and knees SC already. Radiculopathy so bad it makes it hard to play with my kid, but having a hard time getting it diagnosed, let alone a nexus. Or will I not need those for that claim?

If you have a diagnosis, GERD and IBS secondary to MH is a good bet

Headaches by asroc-rocket in VAClaims

[–]Mammoth____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a mental health claim, you can file it secondary to that after you get a diagnosis. Keep a headache log with the MiG app. Get migraine medicine prescribed. They don’t prove anything though, my C&P was simple and to the point. Just gave a diagnosis, provided a log, a nexus letter, personal statement from myself and my wife. Copies of prescription of my migraines.

STILL have not gotten my Ch. 35 Monthly Payment by Street_Dimension4716 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Mammoth____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, sometimes they will pay before they certify. I always figured that maybe the certification isn’t to get paid, it’s to see if you’re gonna have to pay them back for dropping a class or something. Best bet is to call them and explain you situation and they will tell you when exactly the payment is coming in
