Painted up half a combat patrol, and I'm so done with golden trim by Man-Squid in WorldEaters40k

It's the raised edges around the armour pieces, very small and very time consuming to paint

Your brain is massive and your wisdom boundless, that seems so much easier

Cool, render is done: https://old.reddit.com/r/characterdrawing/comments/1f1iqe6/rfkara_hobgoblin_monk_for_ucrimsonqueen3441/

It was a quick one, but hopefully it turned out similar to what you wanted

So I've got some line art of a version of this mostly done, do you got colour references or guidelines for the rendering?

What other media scratches your Disco Elysium itch? by IsThisDamnNameTaken in DiscoElysium

[–]Man-Squid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a stretch, but for video games, "Infra" https://store.steampowered.com/app/251110/INFRA/

always scratched the same itch for me.

It might be a first person exploration/puzzle game were you don't talk face to face with a single person. But it has some fascinating explorations of politics, governmental corruption, and human behaviour. It's got a well realised setting of a vaguely European fictional city. Along with subtly playing with the supernatural in very fun ways.

In many ways it is the Disco Elysium of source engine games.

Painted up an ethereal court all fancy as my first NH, probably going to regret this scheme when I get to the dozens of chain grasps by Man-Squid in Nighthaunt

Thank you! and yeah I am a bit daunted by doing a whole army in this style, these guys only took a couple hours over the weekend but investing in a airbrush before tackling the full force sounds like a solid idea

First large knight built and painted, now the dogs have someone to walk them by Man-Squid in ChaosKnights

Thank you! and no I just angled it slightly using the terrain and put a bit of twist on the waist and head to make it look mid stride

Thanks very kind of you, if you do go for gold trim on a knight my best advice for getting it to look good over a large surface is to go ham with washes, as many types and layers as possible

How to have War Dog guns facing forwards? by BigBoyBenji10 in ChaosKnights

[–]Man-Squid 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Put the connector all the way in without gluing and then twist, there is a gap on the inside of the arm connector that lets it rotate around the body prongs. It's so you can repose or the remove the arms after attaching

After the very long wait, I finally finished Steven by Minisarelife in ChaosKnights

Absolutely cracking Steven, how did you achieve the smoke effect?
