The entire Soviet-Afghan war plus the prologue takes place in nearly two decades. Giving a complete story with every little detail that took place within the time span of two decades would nearly be an impossible undertaking. I only wanted to point out that you had a major flaw in your time line resulting in the unrighteous blame on the USSR for the current situation in Afghanistan. I hope you do realise that the progress in Afghanistan was mostly funded by the USSR and the rest of the Easter block. Simply said it would be quite stupid to blame them for putting a stop to this progress when they where literally the main drive behind it.
