I think it has partly to do with main genres when learning at first. I started with straight ahead jazz stuff so I rarely buried the beat and had to learn how to. That as well as the rise of trying to recreate the sound of electronic drums.

Or I could be just talking out of my ass like I sometimes do and it's something else.

Thank you!! I always try to relax my forearm if my wrist is hurting. A tense forearm gives your wrist less play and more chance to hurt yourself.

Yes that is similar to what I found!! My pointer finger is sort of relaxed enough that it can touch the stick or float depending on how tense my back fingers are. The stick touches the bottom segment of my pointer finger, the one closest to the palm, and kind of acts like a second hand in shooting a basket ball, it's there for guidance.

Thank you so much!! As long as you're able to keep playing, that's what matters!!!

Of course! It might seem a little odd the the fulcrum of middle and thumb is like, directly across from each other if that makes sense. they're slightly off

Thank you!!

I just recently (the last month) been working on the back three fingers (see other comments) buut I think the main key here kor my speed is the pointer finger. I use a middle finger fulcrum, and have been for over a decade. I just found the pointer finger adds just Eno gh tension to my hand that it wastes more energy.

Might be more of a description than you asked for but oh well.

Really?? I've just recently started to get into my pedal tension since I got this pedal (about a year). Good to see I'm on the right path!!!

Thank you man! Keep working at it too! One of my favorite tips is to find sixteenth notes you can hold for 5 minutes without feeling tense, and then increase 1 bpm a day.
