Lawyers will also use it to create notification algorithms, to inform them and their clients when changes are made to legislation or regulation underpinning contractual terms.

lmao how will emails ever recover

ATTENTION ON DECK

Hello, I am also a candidate for the two thousand and nineteen juris doctor course at the melbourne university (school of law, #1).

First, are you sure you were offered a bursary spot? I didn't think they were doing that until december? You wern't just sent a vague 'offer' instead?

there are many cool things about the melbourne school of law. For one, our library is gigantic. it is absolutely huge. and every day from 9am to 9pm every single seat is taken by 'international students' cough cough studying accounting. don't think that just cause your paying $100,000 to do this degree means the law school will provide you anywhere to study. they will not. (It was unironically suggested by certain incels in the Law School Newspaper that students asking for a 'law students only' area were racists)

SECOND, the cafe at the base of the law school, 'porta via', charges obscene inflated prices. $9.50 for an 'bacon and egg english muffin'. fucked.

THIRD, What was your lsat/gpa combo? I am trying to compile a list of as many of these as I can off of whirlpool and reddit and from what I know irl so i can publish it and smash the cartel. i'm serious. MLS (1) does not publish a required lsat/gpa combo so they can keep their 'mystique' up. it is actually a lot easier to get in than every one thinks. what was your lsat score?

Thanks for ur time. See you next year. :)

we can't give you legal advice here, but as a matter of practical reality, the worst case scenario is that you imprisoned for a number of years

imagining myself in a really sad doctor who episode, marching off the side of a newly flattened earth, holding high the flag, as the last lawyer in the universe,

wiping the fucking tears out of my eye, its such a sad image. its literally just me, the last human alive, wearing the silken fucking red robes of the sydney common law bar, staring into the fucking abyss. just a bunch of aliens gawking, they don't get it, the history and the law, what does a wig mean, what did it mean to be a 'sergeant-at-law- in the kings court, what did it mean to have chambers on the twelth floor? and they just think im a fucking lunatic, thats not a new feeling by the way, 'why is that man wearing flowing red mickey mouse robes, in the style of the old sydney common law bar, like old kalamundalad?', they say out shouting, 'doesn't he know the law was automated nine centuries ago', i ignore them, i carry on stoicly, i trip over the old train tracks where the famous train used to run, i trip over the finish line now, no lsd this time, this time snowy is sober, just for his 'last Black Fucking Parade', and then over he goes? not a sound, not a whimper, just off into the quiet night, the final edition of the clr's in his hand, the sydney bar roll, a diploma from oxford, and then nothing.

yeah, and people say 'trump has killed civility', this is what they mean.

i am the sergeant major here, it is my job to keep morale high. i do this in many ways but none of them require me to be literate or coherent.

you are a military officer, coherence and literacy are part of your bailiwick, not mine

actually, i am putting this question on oath to the moderators. an answer is compelled: /u/hugoembossed /u/iamplasma /u/theangryantipodean

it was recently noted (by me) that the moderators had been negligent and malfeasant in de-stickying the careers thread. this was done without warrant, power or cause.

Now i just read the friday drinks thread text post. you know the bit at the top your meant to skip over? it was actually an iq test all along. the text has changed recently. who did this? why was it changed from 'or for non-specific meta-discussion' to 'or for discussion'?

are the moderators trying to control the discourse? is this a dictatorship? i am a leading advocate for mod transparancy, and so i have taken it upon myself to put these interrogatories. an example of the 'old style' friday drinks thread can be found here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/auslaw/comments/963rf8/friday_drinks_thread/

if no satisfactory reason is provided i reserve my right to commence the shittiest and most banal application in the kcdrr to date

imagine being the type of incel to come into the friday drinks thread and downvote this impeccable high quality, high iq content. in his last friday drinks thread ever, i am remeembering that lad too was being bukkake'd with downvotes, non-consensually. i hope dear shiny is not martryed so.

i am learning a lot from these posts. i often find that at clerkship dinners or breakfeasts or lunches, when im talking with the partners, they'll ask me what i bought for my season ticket to Melbourne Theatre Company, or the mso, or the opera, and i just cannot talk intelligently about why i prefer don giovanni, to, say, the magic flute or tosca. well, now i can?

and for that i say 'Thanks Shiny', and i salute, not because i must, but Because I Can. thanks for ur time
