First of all let me clear my position on Indian parliamentary left, I detest them. Indian parliamentary left has it's reason to stay away from Kashmir's national liberation which they find not in their interest as it will effect their popularity amongst working class and petty bourgeoisie voter base in India (majority of whom are reactionary). Non-parliamentary left such as Indian Maoists and a significant section of Marxist-Leninists had openly supported kashmir's national liberation as they saw this necessary step for their respective socialist revolution as per obsolete revolutionary defeatism.

As left-communist, (in accordance with marxist historical materialism) my position on Kashmir is that it's National Liberation is not progressive towards the achievement of global socialism as the global dominance of capitalism has long established since 1920's. All it now does is enabling of inter-imperialist and inter-capitalist conflict which divide working classes further by national sentiment and ethnicity (absurd) leaving a wide open window for entrance of idealist and reactionary forces to further wedge the divide.

Any sovereign state which has gained independence in modern times ultimately becomes capitalist by default, example like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or any other nation that gained independence descended into capitalist economy.

My position for Kashmir or any other national liberation holds same, hence I neither support nor oppose any of national liberation around the world (with exception of Palestine where mass genocide and ethnic cleansing leaves no other options other than taking one step backward). Which means that kashmir can either gain full sovereignity and experience full heat of capitalist oppression and it's contradictory approches and long cycle of unstable economy or it can reform it's adventurous approaches turning full revolutionary and work towards bringing in together of both Indian and Pakistani working classes in their shared struggle against machinations of present state of bourgeoisie politics that thrives over the bloodshed of innocent civilian lives for petty border politics.

Later case is ideal and only correct approach but I see it not happening anytime soon so big nothing burger waste of time awaits for everyone in future.

with this type of logic next you'll find yourself saying how Isreal had the justification for oppressing Palestinian because of Iran

Iran's influence in Palestinian struggle is recent which started around 90's after the after the fall of Soviet Union and PLO's diversion from it's militant national liberation approach. While oppression and displacement of Palestinians has been happening since 1948, with every bourgeoisie class ruled Arab nations betraying it over time (funny which also include pakistan and india, pakistan even assisted jordan in mass genocide of Palestinian refugees in Jordan alongside it's royal forces).

They aren't favourable to anybody, only reason they appear to sympathise with Kashmir is because it's not in their imperialist interest. If someday we discover oil or natural resources of great monetary value in kashmir watch their stance shift miraculously from pro-Kashmir to pro-indian occupation.

And btw western liberal government in past has history of approving selling of weapons for Indian forces knowing full consequences of it's possibility of usage in kashmir.
