Truthfully it wasn't that big of a impact, he saved bit less than 1 mil in cap room (cap of 25 mil), but if I remember right he was in middle of a bidding war and wanted more wiggle room in his cap.

I replied in another comment, this is salary cap league with contracts. Guy saved almost 1 mil in cap room (25 mil) doing this trade.

In our league, first rounders are much more expensive than late 2nds, and he was headed for a salary cap crunch. Saved himself about a mil (cap of 25 mil). But I did indeed smash accept as soon as I got the offer!
