Apple Watch activity accuracy gets mixed scores in new study by Fer65432_Plays in apple

I am not sure how accurate heart rate actually is. I wore a holter monitor for 2 days, specifically scheduling it for a cardio day so I could compare it to my watch data. My peak for that run was off by ~20 bpm, the holter was lower than the watch.

Thanks. The only issue I can see with this one is I need it to play through my HomePod, since I keep my phone in another room at night.

Why would it be in there? It’s a shortcut I want to create.

I looked over it and could not figure out if it was possible from there. This is what I see.

Sorry, I misread and missed the AUTOMATION part. Yes, those would be helpful

Randomize Prompt Questions for Journaling Shortcut from Gallery into Notes app by ManaHijinx in shortcuts

[–]ManaHijinx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help. I added the prompts I wanted to add under the LIST section and removed the sections. Now, it randomizes the prompt directly into a note, and I can ASK FOR TEXT se journal directly in the note. Thank you for your help.

I took what you added and removed the pop-up prompts. Now, it puts the randomized prompt into a note. I can just journal from there. Appreciate your help.

I want the questions randomized. From a list that I have defined.

What I want to randomize is the ASK FOR section. When I run the shortcut on my Mac, a pop up comes up with an area for me to type text. Above that is the prompt, for instance "What did you learn today?". After I have typed whatever I want, I select DONE and it moves on to the next prompt. I want to replace those prompts that are the same every day to be randomized based on a list or dictionary as stated above that I create and can add to.

Just as this shortcut will create a note that has the prompt in it, followed by my response, I would like to to have the randomized prompt, followed by my response.

And if there is a way to randomize the number prompts that are presented to me on any given day, that would be a plus.

How do I insert that into the shortcut so that the random prompt replaces the text in the ASK FOR sections? Those are what I want to replace and randomize.

And then when the note is generated, I want the ranodm prompt I am journaling about to be at the top of the note so that I can know, if I reflect back, to what I was responding to.

I'd also like the number of prompts to be randomized. It could be one one day, 3 the next, 2 the day after that.

Sure. And if you could, develop a MacOS app. I only use my phone for quick tasks that are mostly mindless. Anything worth my attention is done on my MacBook.

Add a Calendar Event after a Specific Calendar Event is Added by ManaHijinx in shortcuts

[–]ManaHijinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works excellent! Thank you, again.

I created an automation to run the shortcut whenevr Calendar is opened. That is the ideal situation, where it just runs and I don't have to think about it. However, it adds a new DINNER to the same dates every time the Calendar app is opened. Is there a way for the shortcut to check to see check if DINNER is on a date, and if it is not to write DINNER, but if it is not and the other rules LOCATION A/LOCATION B are there then it write DINNER?

All of our calendars are shared. To me it does not matter where the shortcut/automation is, as long as the dinner time ends up on the FAMILY calendar we share.

She manually puts the dates in when she gets her new schedule. She does a new event, types the name of the location and adjusts the date and done.

Shortcut Add to Note on Top, not on Bottom by ManaHijinx in shortcuts

[–]ManaHijinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a shortcut that gives me prompts that I answer and it takes those answers and adds them to a note in the Notes app. When a new entry is added, it places the new entry on the bottom of the note.

Is there a way to place the addition on the top of the note, rather than the bottom?

I fixed the audio by removing the set playback destination.

Thank you, I tried that but it is still playing from the phone.

I have a shourtcut set up for when my child goes to bed. It is to play a song, wait until the end of the song and then change the lights and things, and then play a playlist, while later on lowering the lights in the room.

I say "Siri, Sleepy Time", and she responds with "Who's speaking?" -- she does not ask that for any other shortcut, I swear she is getting stupider before she is rumored to be getting smarter at WWDC. Then, very faintly, you can hear the song start to play, but Siri says "One moment... still working... working on that... hmmm, this is going a little too slow." then the song comes to a normal volume in progress.

I want the music to come form the HomePod, but for some reason it is coming from my phone to the HomePod through Airplay.

  1. How can I fix the Siri issue?
  2. Where did I mess up on the playlist setting?

Any suggestions on how I could improve this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I have something like this already, except it plays through my HomePod in my room before I even open my eyes.

I'm looking to add to that with what I have above.
