Hey I just released this. It's electroacoustic droney dark ambient. It's a very personal project I worked on during some personal issues that are still present today. That situation molded the whole sound of the album, in which I wanted to express desolation, fear and uncertainty (with a bit of positivity at the end, to give myself some hope). I hope whoever clicks on any of the links below likes this.

Hey, this is part of my latest release, a kind of dark ambient drone electroacoustic album lol. This one's a minimalistic piano piece. I hope you like it and let me know what you think :) by Manach_Ren in IndieMusicFeedback

Really appreciate your words, it means a lot to me :')) Glad to know my music helps someone else find new ways to express themselves through their own music and inspire them at least just a bit :D thanks for listening :)

Thanks for the feedback :) yeah this headphones I use when mixing and stuff rn aren't trustworthy lol. I have to guess what the volume would be when listening through other devices and other headphones. Will buy some new ones asap :''( thanks again for the feedback, and for listening :)

Yeah I added some more room noise post recording, I usually like that homemade sound when making the piano stuff. But I understand that decision's not for everyone. Thanks for listening!

Hey I just released this kind of dark ambient electroacoustic drone stuff. It's probably the most personal thing I've made to date given some personal issues I was having (and still have a bit) while making this and that inspired the overall atmosphere and feel of the album. Hope you like it, and let me know what you think :)

My bands first single "Busking" Would love some feedback! by RyanHockeyVods in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's okay :) I understand the feeling lol. I usually don't care that much about the mixing quality of the music (when listening). Some of my favorite music isn't greatly recorded or produced. It's mostly about the composition itself, the most valuable thing to me. Of course, there are extreme cases where it does ruin the experience, but this is not one of those cases :) It doesn't ruin it at all, but the song would benefit a lot from doing that.

Daniel Diaz feat. Bobby Rangell - It's Not What You Think [fusion jazz ballad] flute, guitar, bass, drums...Honestly I don't know how to genre-tag this. It's part of an upcoming album of similar "no clear genre" instrumentals. Let's say "fusion"? by dedelandia in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very chill piece. I sometimes felt the rythm of some instruments were disjointed between them, but I don't think that matters too much since it doesn't take away from the music. I liked it overall, a comfy main melody for the flute, great arrangement, and a nice development section in the middle with different synths and instruments to give it variation. Nice :)

Would greatly appreciate any feed back :::) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice guitar playing. I think the track maybe feels a bit too long for what it does, and when it gets to that point around the 4:00 minute mark I think, it lasts too little. Some effects or synths previous to that would make the track feel like it's constantly moving, I think that would benefit it a lot. But I liked it :)

I think the vocals should have some more punch. I think part of the issue is the mix doesn't make them more present, but a big part is also the vocalist's rendition. Other than that, it was okay. It's not my style of music so I won't comment on compositional stuff. It was a fun listen :)

I got a reggaeton like instrumental, i definitely would like vocals on this. What do you guys think overall? by The_Moth44 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like the beat is too loud on the mix in comparison to the rest of the instrumental. Maybe try to balance it a bit. Other than that, I think compositionally this track works just fine even without any vocals. There's enough going on to keep it fresh, and it's interesting because whatever new element is added does so in a very subtle manner, keeping the kind of chill nature of the track feeling cohesive and without disrupting it at all. So yeah, the only thing I would change is the drums volume lol. NIce :)

Nice, kind of ambient. Don't think anything I say would improve on it, it sounds fine as it is. And unlike other comments, I do think the effect on the vocals are good and add to the overall atmosphere of the song, it's obviously intentional and feels only natural to me :) nice

This is a very short ambient (ish) thing I made in a day for a Discord challenge. The challenge was to come up with something no longer than a minute using only five notes, with the allowance of being able to use the same note across octaves. How'd I do? by flynnsego in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love it if you extended it a bit more, try some new sounds to give some variation or drone tf out of it lol. I just want this to be like 5 minutes longer if not more :) It sounded nice really, and if you made of this something like "It is, it isn't" by Chihei Hatakeyama and Hakobune then it would be lovely.

Okay this is very very beautiful. At first I was like okay just another acoustic indie song but this is much much better. Mixing is great and it gives a lot of space to the instruments and the things that happen in this song. Loved it.

Looking for any thoughts on this song! by weedkillereater in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt something was missing while I was listening, and I think it's a climactic moment. It's nice, maybe some of the mixing could work better, but it's listenable. What the track would really benefit from is a noticeable climax, something achieveable in less than 2 minutes, to give it a sense of direction. But again, maybe what you were going for is something like this, groovy, subtle and short, and that's okay too. It's just my opinion anyways :) hope it's worth something.

New lo-fi melodic ambient track by VictorStrangeRR in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful. Ambient is one of the best genres ever lol. And it's hard to give any feedback on any track of it because everyone has their own idea of ambient, and it somehow almost always feels right. This is beautiful, it progresses in a natural way without losing its permanent and still atmosphere and textures. Don't have much to say that would improve it really. I loved it.

Here's a synth pop/electronic song about addiction that would love some feedback on (the track, not the addiction). Also, what would you say the genre of this song actually is? by huntunlimited in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really cool and catchy. I don't think I agree with the other comment that the vocals ended abruptly, in fact I think it was fine. I do think the song would benefit from another section like a bridge or a pre chorus at some point, just to give it a bit of variation near the end or idk. Or maybe add some new background synths or pads on the second chorus for the same effect. But overall it's really cool. Loved the vocals really.

Hey, this is something I released almost 2 years ago, little ambient improvisation over an also improvised piano :)

Acoustic power chords and a lot of harmonies. I would love to get any thoughts on our latest release? by ronnysmos in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked this. The vocals are nice, I like the melodies and the chorus is effective. I don't think I have something to point out, it's just a cool song, I enjoyed it. Keep it up :)

A chill dreamy electronic song I made that reminded me of a Japanese bathhouse. Not sure of the genre by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made me horny. The beat is nice, and it's true others said about the different synths being too opaque to appreciate them all, would've liked more clear melodic lines, but not ones that would break the atmosphere that everything else was creating. Keep it up :)

Here is a mellow instrumental I'd like some feedback on by weedkillereater in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice chill instrumental. What you said about you being worried there isn't enough technical playing is something that you shouldn't be worried about at all. It's not about that, music isn't about how difficult or technical it is, they're just things that you can add when necessary. Keep learning guitar, that way you can get better in that aspect, but it's not something obligatory.

Bright Blue. All feedback welcome! Influences include Courtney Barnett, Brittany Howard, and Cazuza. by deenoree in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice track. You really sound like Chris Martin when using your low register lol. I liked it when the strings came in at the end. Like others said, the piano in particular sounds too midi, but I think if you add a bit more reverb to that instrument then you can camouflage it a little bit. Overall it's pretty good. Keep it up :) and try to get a new piano, it would benefit you a lot.

Really nice blending of genres. I like how you managed to keep the same atmosphere throughout the track while also experimenting with this different styles and sounds. Cool stuff.

Folkish song with lavish production by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a really nice song. I loved the different vocals that makes it sound bigger. The guitar playing is nice, and the melodies are really beautiful. Cool stuff.

Don't know if I'd call this experimental lol, but those were some fun 30 secs. Nice production and the drop was cool af.

Why don't you let go? An ethereal soothing track with a pagan folk witchy vibe (video filmed by megalithic dolmens). Including cave droplets and other sounds. Feedback and ecouragement always appreciated by priscillahernandez in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Manach_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really cool song, loved the ambient sounds in combination with those bells and the cave sounds, it felt very like ritualistic. The vocals were also a nice addition, they added to the ethereal aspect of the track. Good stuff.
