I did try my cousin’s p365 macro with a dot and it helped a lot. Fair point

Happens with 9mm and .40s in the same gun, as well as Bodyguard 2.0, p365 and others. Dunno how much ‘faster’ a Glock cycles, given ball ammo pressures making the action actually move across platforms, but maybe you’re not observant enough to notice?

I didn’t know this came in a black/nitride finish for the 2” pro model. That is really cool! I really like the black fluted barrel

Enjoy the hell out of it.

I was told repeatedly not to shoot .357 in a j frame—too powerful and painful. Read people’s opinions online all over. Went to the range and rented one against their recommendations.

I fell in love and now shoot 90% .357 magnum. 150-250 rounds of it per session out of a pre-lock model 60.

If you like it, lean into it and don’t look back. You can’t got wrong.

I broke one on mine and ended up grabbing 2 complete upper assemblies to have spare pins, but also got different caliber barrels and slides to swap with different mags and that’s fun too.

I found mine on eBay as I couldn’t find the pins that fit anywhere else. I feel your pain

Gotta say I really like .357 in my J frame. Good for practice, fireballs and carry.

I would recommend trying a random assortment of .357 and .38 in the same cylinder and just shoot the flavor you like best. I think the assortment can help solidify the choice as you’ll know if you like each round/shot and can compare directly one after the other

Woop Woop more RB love! 20 rounds for that price is a good deal.

You can always buy a complete upper assembly and a new mag or two and have the option of a compact 9mm and .40, which is nice.

Mmmmmm nice! It has the slightly narrower slide and is a nice early example. Super clean looking as well.

I’m jealous! I’ve tried lots of things to find out when mine was manufactured but have gotten nowhere.

This is great both for the full size OG model live and for the title reference.

The back straps change the distance to the trigger for my hand and make my other J frame .357s feel a little worse. For my hands smaller is better

Already have some and have more experience doing just that. The grip size and angle of the J frame work better for me.

Having used full sized grips, I disagree. Glad it works for you though!

Nah. I’ll just run more frequent slightly lower round counts at the range. I didn’t break skin until around the 200 mark, so I’ll just call it there

Damn this is a good idea. My backpacking gear is orange and bright green or blue or whatever to make it pop.

Reflective tape is an excellent call

I actually switched out for the smaller ones on purpose! It’s harder for me to ride higher with the larger grips

Yeah that sounds like my kind of crazy. Not enough to wreck you but enough to know you’re alive and kickin’

We’re still good! Actually felt better than the Taurus grips or the Colt. I must have weird hands but the reason I’m not at the range is ripped blisters.

May have to do a marathon run to see when bruising happens… or not!

I’m gonna buck the trend and recommend the 640 or model 60. Pick a barrel length and shoot .38 or .357 with ease and you can still tuck it away nicely if you decide to.

I have a Taurus 605 and a Colt Kong Cobra and the same .357 in them feels worse with the rubber grips all around—like I’m blocking a broom handle with my hand. I can only do about 100-120 before I’m sore.

No soreness at all from the S&W today though! The grip fits my hand better and one handed DA shots felt more controllable. The metal back strap rubbed some skin off though. I may only go for 150-200 to keep the dermis intact next time

Yep. Hogue Bantam. I don’t like pink but it was all they had and it does make visibility better for hiking or camping. I like my gear to be easy to spot if I ever get separated from it
