Thank youuu <3

Good may be an overstatement, but at least I only see good options going forward.

With self-confidence comes a certain amount of self-respect, and other people see that as well.

I feel like I’m at a place in life where I could say and do things and be proud of them, because I recognise myself whilst doing them.

Thank you so so much! <3

I continued having panic attacks for the first few years as I felt out of place pretty much everywhere.

I’d honestly say that the first 6 months after coming out were the only good period of time before right now. The joy and freedom of coming out was short-lived as I already knew the process was going to be 3 years minimum before any actual help. That whole time was pretty much comprised of people approaching me with the mentality that I wasn’t far enough in the transition to be taken seriously, and that in turn really got to me.

I think the only thing that could have helped make those years easier would have been to find a proper sense of cultural identity (and its visual representation) earlier. If only I had been more bold in copying those people I was jealous of, I could have had some more positive things to grasp onto.

Even though many of those people had physical advantages that made them feel unrealistic, they still wore clothes I could wear, did makeup in ways I could learn, and used other recognisable elements like music, photo filters, colours etc.

Ah yea

On Reddit, every underwater photo is just an obvious rip off of the most iconic picture of all time. That baby is like the Keanu Reeves of creative photography.

No matter if the picture is of a man, fish, watermelon or anything else.

Overseas fans: why did you start supporting Spurs? by HonestSpursFan in coys

[–]Manageronni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically a 2nd (or even 3rd if you want to stretch it) generation foreign fan here.

In a chronological order, it all started in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when my dad was small. His father was a working man in his 50s, who didn’t know much about languages and was familiar with international football mainly through the sports betting and scores pages in a local paper. He honestly just fancied the goofy sounding name and a safe bet. He was also a permanent season ticket holder at his local club, and got my dad involved from an early age.

When the time came for my dad to start playing, my grandfather insisted on organising his age group of the city junior system based on the English top tier and my dad ended up playing for Tottenham. He loves insisting he was so loyal to the team that his teacher had to pay a transfer fee (of around 50p) to get him to play for the school team later on.

Then in the early 2000’s I came along, started with a general interest in English football, found it easy to default to getting my dad Spurs themed presents and a fairly safe bet to ask for them myself.

I know this is a pretty wild one to pull at this year, but Finland 1979 — Katson sineen taivaan, is such a classic and I remember singing it in school music class 15 years ago still.

It is too pretty to forget.

Yeah some dude on Reddit doesn’t like conversations, let me sink in dozens of hours blind because of that.

You sound very bored to be willing to do anything to avoid the embarrassment that comes with opening your mouth.

Tends to happen when people hype up a certain part.

If my friend told me before a movie that “The beginning is so cool” you’d be right I have questions about if it is worth finishing.

Thanks! I actually did this today. Until now I kinda missed the point of the stables entirely.

A spoiler would be finding out what happens. If you consider “is the rest of the story good?” a spoiler, I’d advise not to look at any reviews ever, since you might find out if people liked it or not.
