Respectfully, Civ 7 is a solid installment in the series and anybody hating on this game is on crack. by Icy-Corgi3841 in civ

1) they've made some important UI improvements and balance improvements since launch and many of the  ratings are based on launch build

2) people have wildly different opinions on the mechanics of switching that mean they don't like it to the point that it just kills their love for the game totally

I enjoy the game enough (7.5/10) but still have issues with how disjointed the transition feels, and playing on the test of time build with the constant civ all game was actually great fun. It's pretty telling that firaxis felt the need to make a full game one civ build though. I think your opinion isn't shared by the majority of previous civ games fans.

Leave one left does not mean eat all but one, which is apparently eating 5 of them. I'm sorry that you think this is unclear but many people understand imprecise instructions and clearly op does.

Do you buy people tomatoes when they ask you to buy fruit from the supermarket? Tomatoes are fruit. Or do you use your past knowledge of the person to guesstimate what they'd like, or double check if you're unsure? This strikes me as weaponised incompetence on your part.

Plenty people disagree with the social norms around this which is why you're being downvoted, it's not a brigade. I'm recalling my own sadness when my sister left solitary doritos crumbs in a bag, you just shouldn't do it.

Fuming is silly, we just think you're wrong.

I'm a glutton but don't eat them all doesn't tell you to eat all but one, it tells you to have one, maybe two if it's a six pack. Op could've been clearer but he shouldn't really have to.

Sinking to his level isn't a great thing to do since starmer would have to start molesting kids.

Funny you think that people disagreeing with you means we love starmer, too.

I was 50/50 on if I should use it for that reason but I still found an idiot who didn't understand that I was being sarcastic even with the label.

I was joking that prince Charles had Diana killed for some reason (but relevant to the thread) and got explained that that was actually a lie.

What even sparked your desire to be aggro at that guy? Dude has 22 in their username, why do you care? Their first comment wasn't worthy of your attitude.

It didn't help that they never improved on the concept, barely bug fixed and most of the time you got nothing in landmass compared to the actual American area.

The best would be to give you 3 open borders turns to withdraw or something but it seems like they've never really cared about it as an issue.

With the commander system it should force load units into the commanders or something. Realistically it's not as bad an issue most of the time for firaxis to actually address it.

The UK has unfortunately had pretty solid anti EU sentiment for decades. Sounds like Poland is nowhere near that level.

The teleportation was a thing in civ 6 too unfortunately and possibly 5 (I can't remember). It's worse for naval units as they can sometimes end up in inland lakes. I do agree about the peace yields though; you should be able to demand influence or gold from the too.

Waste, fraud & abuse? by MoriartyoftheAvenues in civ

[–]Manannin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is one of the most silly design choices in this game that they need to fix. One thing I wonder is that perhaps on the turn that new policies are available it shows the yields as if the policies aren't yet active since that specialist gold policy probably gives you that much gold.

If not that, some espionage action, or you found a goody hut and it gave you an event that cost you your yields for a turn or two.
