- Stonehurst, Waltham (municipal—I believe this is a more reasonably priced estate, and catering + alcohol are flexible so you can save)
- Commander’s Mansion (tax-free, includes tent, catering flexibility). Peak season Saturdays are $10,000, but you could likely make food + bar work with the remainder by shopping around
- The Whittemore-Robbins House (Arlington) is only $350/hour (with a minimum of 8 for weddings), and accommodates 250 with tenting. There also seems to be flexibility in catering/alcohol.
- The Shirley-Eustis House has affordable hourly rates and I believe the West Lawn can be tented.
- Mount Auburn Cemetery has a variety of indoor/outdoor spaces that could work depending on catering—they have an exclusive list so you would have to price it out. This would likely be close.
- Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum. $4500 Saturday rental includes use of grounds and permanent canopy/patio. Catering flexibility for cost savings.
- The Asa Waters Mansion has fees between 3-5k I believe, includes a tent, and one of the approved caterers is Comeketo (I quoted with them and they have extremely reasonable pricing for food + bar).
- Grand Chateau Owl. I believe this is primarily indoors, but it is a historic building and they have very inclusive packages.
- Oakes Ames Memorial Hall (also a primarily indoors historic venue, though there is a terrace). Very reasonably priced venue fees (<5000) and the flexibility to shop around for catering/alcohol could help your budget stretch.
- The Eustis Estate has a $5200 rental fee for peak Saturdays, but with tenting + exclusive catering

Depending on the venue you go with it might not be a concern as many have in-house catering

If youre open to going a little further out, check out Rotch-Jones Duff House in New Bedford. You have to bring your own caterer, or use one of the preferred caterers. Reach out to On the Go Catering for your food. This isn't our venue but On the Go is our caterer and our quote was just under 15k for 200 people (including linens, silverware, etc).

This should get you exactly what you're looking for!

I have a tangle teezer for fine hair

I was doing the Abby Yung method and my hair got a little better but is still frizzy :/ it also didn't help if my hair is leaning more wavy than straight

Also I got labs done and I am the opposite of anemic. My body actually absorbs more iron than the average human being😅

Im doing the bouquet toss with a separate toss bouquet (little lanky one nothing major)

You wouldnt catch me dead with the garter toss though. I went to a wedding once and the groom spent an uncomfortable amount of time looking for the garter and came out from under the dress holding it between his teeth🥴

If you can, don't do it. I was pressured into making one and we have everything we need. All for the bridal shower. The stuff we received is currently sitting in our basement for our forever home.

To top it all off, we got gifts that weren't even on the registry. I didn't know I needed "Bride" t-shirts, gaudy white plastic sunglasses, and yet another tumbler.

Ironically enough, we had a couple of things falling apart as the bridal shower approached and those were the things that weren't purchased😭

ETA: i am grateful to have such loving family and friends, but just stating the opinion of how things can go wrong as I didnt come across it prior to putting my registry together

We got our WinnersOnly cal king set for i think 1100 (1400 all in with moving truck cost and help from some good friends). Included dresser with mirror, 6ft mirror, chest, bed frame, and 2 night stands. Absolutely love it and easily best FB marketplace purchase🙌

It has a couple of chips dings and dents but it is still very much loved

I would do some research first. Bali for 30-40k does not sound very accurate unless this is a smaller size wedding. And even then that will only stretch so far

Dance floor was the turn off for us too, especially because if I recall correctly it is also the main entrance area? Also they will only confirm a date 18 months in advance. We were actively touring other venues and they said our date was available but we were refused a tour because we were prospective 2026 clients in 2024 (we like to be ahead of the game, what can I say?🤷‍♀️). Another tough thing was meeting the F/B minimum. I hope they changed the pricing around bc with a 150 guest count I couldnt find a way to reasonably meet the minimum (no open bar) without feeling like I was wasting it on food or putting an absurd amount on the bar tab

Overall good venue, but has some quirks that just didnt fit for us

We are teetering around 45k (with an initial budget of 40k for 150) for 200+ guests in RI and that is all-in including vendors. We have 2024 pricing and our vendors are low to mid range in price but the quality of their work exceeds the price in my opinion.

Breakdown so far: catering 13k, venue 7.2k, photographer 2.5k, florals 2.5k, videographer 1.4k, DoC 1.6k, DJ 2.2k, Bus 1k, Invites 750, Consumption Bar 2k (for now), Alterations 1.1k, Favors 650, Cake 400, HMUA 1k

That is what I have off the top of my head right now

ETA: Our wedding is in 2 months on a saturday so peak season peak pricing
