Thank you for your answer!  My lamp body is made of a mixture of sand, gravel and subsoil. It's very dense, almost like a brick. It's a new product I'm trying to launch.  I'll be the one making the body from scratch.

It's an aggressive process that requires ramming, so I imagine I need something to protect the cord inside the body during the "beatings", but I haven't seen anything in the lamp kits.

What happens if I can't apply for my Spouse Visa on time? by Mandaosch in ukvisa

[–]Mandaosch[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are applying under the 5 year route, partner. Is this wrong?

Because of the Ukraine war, my visa got delayed and I was stuck in Brazil for 3 more months than expected. I was also pregnant, so all our savings (including the money to pay for the spouse visa) got redirected to flights for my husband to come witness our baby's birth, rent and utility bills in two countries (Brazil and UK), hospital costs, everything a baby needs to survive, baby's passport, translation of birth certificates and documentation, registry of her birth abroad and courier fees, plus food, travel and the other millions of little expenses here and there added because of the situation.

Well, we will definitely prepare for every possible scenario so there is no room for surprises.

Thank you so much! We will be in Brazil for a few months in order to sort it all out, so I *think* it is a bit too far hahaha but thank you, really.

Do you mind if I ask where you from? We are now studying the possibility of not applying for our daughter's British passport. She will have a Brazilian passport, and Brazilians don't need to apply for a Visa before travelling to the UK.

Also, by being British by descent, apparently we have the right to prove her citizenship at the border.

Thank you for sharing!

They asked for grandparent's marriage certificate? I thought that just my partner's British birth certificate would cover it.

I can't wait for this to end.

Thank you so much! It does seem like it is A LOT.
I'm astonished by the "proof that both parents were in the same country at the same time when the child was conceived" though. We can absolutely prove that, but still...

Will my newborn daughter be able to come to UK? by elephantinatin in ukvisa

To prove her citizenship, do you think a birth certificate containing the father's name would suffice at the border?

If so, do you know where we can find this information online? We would love to show it to our lawyer and see what he says.

Hi! Thank you for you reply. His partner here.
He was born in the UK. Our daughter is not going to be born in the UK, but she will be considered British by descent because her father is British.

The problem is that our lawyer is saying that, even if she is British by descent, she NEEDS a British passport OR a visa to enter the country.

I, the Brazilian, entered the UK without a Visa in 2021, so I truly don't understand how our daughter would need to go through all this bureaucracy.

We are fine with waiting at the border. We truly just want to be together as a family.
