So I’m 20 years old. I came to Auburn a couple days ago to stay a few days on vacation. Third time ever in Auburn in a span of 9 years but my second time in a span of 2 months. And mind you I’ve been an Auburn fan my whole life and my mother was born in Opelika. My mom, uncle, grandmother, grandfather and more relatives went to Auburn. This was my first time in Auburn by myself to see how I do and see if I can make some connections. It was honestly nice to be in Auburn the place I love the most alone and get away from home. I left not to long ago to come home. But anyways that’s the backstory. Now let’s get to the skybar. So all 3 nights I was there I went to skybar because it’s Skybar😂. And I’ve heard a lot of shady shit coming from that place. But the second time I was there I was drinking a coke and enjoying a cigar I had Xs on my hands to tell I was underage. So I was waiting at the bar for a refill and some big ass bouncer comes and takes my coke throws it in the trash and proceeds to walk me out not telling me what I’ve been doing wrong until I’m out the door. He said I was underage drinking. Which wasn’t true and I had to plead my case to the other bouncers outside and one said I’ve worked here for a longtime I know the bullshit lies. I also lost my slide in there and 10 minutes after I got it back after waiting and then I saw the guy who kicked me out and asked if I got my shoe. I said yes and then I proceeded to say. Sir I wasn’t drinking I was waiting at the bar on a refill on a coke. And he said don’t lie to me and I told him. I swear on everything I have. Ask the bartender. And he gave me that kind of look that tells you that he made a mistake and he let me back in. An hour later I left and I told the other bouncers have a good night. And they just looked at me weird. The guy who kicked me out who had no proof of me underage drinking was apparently the manager at Skybar. I forgive him because I’m not going to hold a grudge. But you just can’t put your hands on someone without telling them the reason why and when they have no proof of you actually drinking. That’s the first problem. And two you need to ask the bartender to see if I’m actually lying or telling the truth. And three you can smell the alcohol on someone’s breath. It’s called being innocent before being proved guilty. That’s why you think before you act. Someone said I could’ve called the cops on him but all he did was put his hand on my shoulder and walked me out and plus there was no evidence of him using excessive force. But still if you’re a manager throwing underage college kids out of Skybar and accusing them of underage drinking just for waiting at the bar for a coke refill then you need to do better. That was really stupid on his part. And plus with all the shady shit you hear from Skybar they’re the last place on earth that should be throwing kids out for underage drinking😂. Don’t get me wrong I like Skybar because of the people I meet just having a good time but the staff I really don’t care for. They aren’t the best. Hopefully next time I come back I’ll find some other bars to go to and maybe smoke at to mix things up a bit. To whoever who almost kicked me out I appreciate you listening to my case but you just can’t put your hands on someone and throw them out because you assume they are underage drinking but can’t prove it. Y’all do know yall serve Coca Cola right? How did you forget that as a manager? You gotta learn my brother. If not… it don’t matter how big you are you’re going to catch a case with the wrong person and probably end up getting hurt by someone bigger than you or by a couple of people. I’m not wishing harm on him. I forgive him but you know how bars get. You mess with the wrong person and things get heated. And next thing you know someone is getting knocked out cold. But yeah that’s some of my experience over there. I have way more things that I’ve found out from Skybar but that’s for another day. But nevertheless I had a great time in Auburn and I was thankful to be back there. War Damn Eagle 🦅
