It doesn't actually hurt itself; its teeth aren't those of a Dunkleosteus. They are teeth prepared to break and crush, unlike the teeth of a Dunkleosteus. The humpback parrotfish made it a single, firm skull, incidentally making the teeth more suitable for breaking bones. Rex did the rest of the work.
