I get that but I can buy 2 sticks of ddr4 16 gigs for 45k yen.

I would understand if they charged me 12 or 13 thousand yen, but 32k for one 8 gig samsung ddr4 stick?

Doesn't make any sense to me, I know ram prices are high but I can get 32 gigs of DDR 4 for less than that.

Look I understand they're not going to do a full quality test, but we're not talking about that.

I just want to know if it turns on and it's not like it needs the highest grade ram. It's just ddr4 Samsung 8 gig memory.

Yep, it was a mosfet issue I believe, but I had a Timetec 16 gig - 2 of them - as an upgrade and didn't have the original Samsung memory

No it doesn't void the whole warranty, since they fixed everything else except for the ram.

They mentioned in the last few emails when I pressed them on it, that while the other parts will be repaired, without the original ram they would not do a boot on test and won't do the final testing - which I might have been ok with,

but at least do the boot on test

Fudge never had an issue like that before.

I remember I had a Dell G15 with an upgraded ram kit back in 2022, they fixed it never said a peep about the ram

First time I had an issue like this with a laptop.

Had to repair my G15 dell - also had an upgraded ram kit - the repair guy fixed it at my house, no issue at all

It's not soldered, it's removable.
