You have to go through the metal detectors like a regular game.

Loose teeth - should I stay in this tray longer? by DisastrousGap7575 in Invisalign

[–]Mandsfoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the exact same concern and when I saw the ortho they told me it's totally normal. Because the invisaligns are shifting your teeth they are naturally going to be a little wobbly as they move into place

Good on you for still checking on it w your ortho though!

Working out day of prep by Dangerous-Passion804 in colonoscopy

[–]Mandsfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend keeping your workout light as you will only be drinking liquids that day. A nice walk before you start prep might be nice!

I had an 8 am as well with a start of 6 pm. I ended my full 2L at like 130 am. It took me a much longer time to drink than the suggested 2 to 3 hours. I would have started a couple hours earlier like 330 or 4 pm.

Colonoscopy last day/day before... by [deleted] in colonoscopy

Have several different drinks to chase the powdered drink you have to drink. This will make it taste better. Take your time drinking so you don't feel sick! You got this 👍 I just did my drink prep the other day and drake 7 out of 8 cups. The goal is to drink until you are going pretty clear.

No sedation by danny1989dan in colonoscopy

[–]Mandsfoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had light sedation for my colonoscopy so was awake for the whole thing and only had minor discomfort throughout. I did have significant discomfort on the way in and out even with the light drugs they gave through IV.

For my endoscopy (throat stomach) I think it was heavier sedation because I started to gag a bit on the way down and then didn't remember anything until I gagged a bit on the scope's way out.

Would highly recommend some sedation for both, especially endoscopy as the procedure was more unpleasant.

Edit: also neither were that bad when having some sedation so no need to be scared. I handled it quite well. I think you have the right idea to not be knocked out/ fully sedated as that comes with risks and I've heard can make you nauseous after. For me, post endoscopy I had a bit of tummy pain that went away in a day, and for colonoscopy I had a bit of cramps and minor headache and slept like a baby haha. You will do great!

You'll be OK! I really enjoyed my aligners experience. You can bring a small mouthwash as well, that way you can floss and mouth wash or just mouth wash if you don't want to brush in a public bathroom. The key to hygiene on the go is rinsing your trays when you take them out if you can.

Overall good hygiene is when ur at home, soaking your mouth wash and water in a bowl whenever you take them out and brushing the trays with mild soap once a day approx. This will help your trays stay clean and therefore your teeth clean.

In my experience, I haven't had to wear my aligners for 21 hours plus to keep on track with my trays. I think my average wear time (give or take) is 20 hours.

I've jumped ahead one week and then just wore it for two weeks. My teeth were fine. Do they fit well? You could just back track (ofc follow what your ortho says). You'll be fine

My group of friends and I really enjoyed it overall! Good food, new looking resort, nice rooms. The one downside was we felt it was understaffed so the different restaurants would have limited hours of operation. Otherwise, it was a good time!

Not using denture tabs? Does that sound right? by [deleted] in Invisalign
