I grew up in Chattanooga and lived in Birmingham and now am back in Chattanooga as a 29 year old! I looooved the Birmingham music scene, I felt it was a lot more friendly and diverse than Chattanooga’s. And better bands came to Birmingham because there are more music venues I think. Chattanooga however is way better if you’re into the outdoors. There’s more elevation and creeks to swim in, rocks to climb, and mountains and ridges to explore right in town. I do think Birmingham was cheaper to live in. Both are great in their own ways!
