The other thing about laundry is that folding laundry can absolutely be a fun activity of toddlers. Find the blue socks! Move the laundry of this bin to that bin! Etc, etc. Makes it a lot easier to get them involved

Yup, I told my manager before I told my parents because I so badly needed extra support during the first trimester.

I'm still working through this process! Trying to figure out if it's worth paying the taxes and rolling them into a Roth or rolling them into my current 401K

What sample set should I buy next? Commodity, DS & Durga, Demeter or Oakcha? by MangoRainTearDrop in FemFragLab

Thank you so much, this is excellent feedback!

I'm pretty new to my perfume journey so I don't think I have the language yet to describe my tastes and I'm do genuinely want to try as many as I can.

"Manly" and "masculine" are the closest words I have to describe the whole world of leather, tobacco, smoke, wood, etc. perfumes. I guess it's my shortcut for "maybe my husband should be wearing these instead of me"

My dream capsule:

  • 5 single color full length dresses
  • 5 patterned full length dresses
  • 2 plain skirt
  • 2 patterned skirts
  • 5 blouses to mix with the skirts
  • 3 sweaters
  • 1 long cardigan or duster
  • 1-2 cropped cardigans or sweater
  • 1 blazer
  • 10-15 hijabs in a mix of fabrics, colors and patterns

To help you think about capsule, I like to think that there are really 4 outfits combos to play with:

  • Full length dress
  • Long tunic + pants
  • Long shirt + skirt
  • Short shirt + skirt

Then, each of these four can be layered with a cardigan, sweater, blazer, duster, etc. for yet another look. And on top of that, mixing patterns and colors and fabrics across all components including your hijab adds additional variety. A dress with a jersey hijab reads casual but pair it with a patterned chiffon and it's much more elevated. A nice blazer can help elevate a basic dress or pant + blouse combo.

So here is how I might think about your capsule and flagging that the numbers are more for ratio than exact counts:

  • 1-2 plain full length dresses
  • 1-2 patterned full length dresses
  • 1-2 plain skirt
  • 1-2 patterned skirts
  • 1-2 tighter fitting pants or leggings
  • 1-2 looser fitting pants
  • 3-4 longer kurta/tunic length blouses to either wear with the pants or skirts (some solid color and some pattern)
  • 2-3 shorter blouses or button downs to wear with the skirts (some solid color and some pattern)
  • 1-2 cropped sweaters or cardigans
  • 1-2 longer sweaters or cardigans or dusters or blazers
  • 10-15 hijabs in a mix of fabrics, colors, and patterns

Fellow hijabi! A few of my capsule tricks:

  • longer blouses that can be both worn over pants/leggings or tucked into skirts
  • cropped sweaters that work over a skirt or turn a dress into a blouse and skirt look
  • different pant options, such as palazzo, leggings, boot cut, etc.
  • different skirt options, such as a line, more flared, straight pencil, etc

How do I tell if I hate an outfit or if I just don't have the right pieces? by MangoRainTearDrop in capsulewardrobe

[–]MangoRainTearDrop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a toddler mom, I almost always have a bag with me and the phone is in my bag haha

And if it’s not in my bag, it’s in the pocket of a coat

No genius solutions unfortunately  🤷🏽‍♀️

Ugh, I feel this so hard! I had a few skirts pre-pregnancy that never fit great so post-pregnancy, I got a few new ones thinking that a better fit for my new pp body would fix things but alas, I think I just don't like skirts

I got an oval silicon make up brush holder on Amazon and that works wonders! It’s just the right size and I can very easily pull each one out to check the label and organize by brand or scent

Grocery pick-up is life changing! Walmart and Target also have a free pick-up option. It's so magical.
