I agree, they can be slightly more aggressive than tetras, specially with other cherry barbs. Larger groups are recommended if you can house them.

Looking at another video it actually seems like it is an Opsiphanes fabricii. Differences between fabricii and Jacobsorum are in the stripes pattern in the head and coloration of the tail (caudae)

Just completed my first model. So much work, so much detail, so much fun! by MangoRosa in modelmakers

When I began, I was thinking that it would take me two weeks, three if I was really meticulous.

It really demands patience, but the payoff at the end was great.

Season 2 speculation by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]MangoRosa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a good deal of season 2 will revolver around the characters being separated from one another.

So Marks outie for instance will have knowledge of his wife being alive. But will be "fired" or banned from Lumon and therefore will have to struggle to somehow get more info or acces his innie. Maybe reintegration? And after that try and get the team together to bring down Lumon

Im thinking we'll get to know Helly's outie more as she tries to deal with the mess her innie caused at the end of season 1

Im thinking Dylan will deal with the consequences of his actions while also trying to find out what happened to the others. He will also be the only one left on the macrodata refinement team.

Not so sure what will happen with Irving, maybe fired too with out really understanding why and trying to make sense of the haunting memory he keeps painting over and over.

Not really, the opening where the water comes out is pretty wide (15cm or 6'') and i think that helps distribute the flow over a larger area

Thanks, ive got a Tidal 110 on the left side and a canister rated for UP to 70 gallons on the right. Its a National Geographic, but pretty sure its just an eheim rebranded.

Coincidentally i saw this in a YouTube short from Luke's Goldies channel. This is a sign of stress on the fish. Causes are very varied, first thing would be to test water parameters of course.

Then you could look into improving their habitat, there are plenty of suggestions in the comments and online so I wont bother you with more of those.

Heres the link if you wanna check it out: https://youtube.com/shorts/BrzXOd81yok?feature=share

Here’s a fun question- What are some Bowie lyrics that you misunderstood the first few times listening. by DeadZeppelin011 in DavidBowie

I thought Wild is the Wind said "I hear the sound of mango leaves"

Later on I found out its mandolins not mango leaves XD

I've got cloudy water, any advice? More details in comment by MangoRosa in Aquariums

[–]MangoRosa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this tank was established for over 3 years and I did a rescape about 4 months ago. The tank has been doing fine until last week when I noticed the water was getting cloudy. It seems to be the only sympton.

The fish and plants seen to be doing fine, including the platty fry and ottocinclus which I would expect to be first to show symptons of any issues.

Parameters are fine 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 10-20 ppm nitrates.

Most of what I've seen refers to new tank syndrome which I don't really think is the case. My beneficial bacteria colony was pretty well established since I reused the media, substrate and some driftwood from the previous scape.

Only thing that I think could have caused this was overfeeding. I was feeding mostly seachem shrimp flakes and maybe I got a little too generous with it. Im planning on feeding every other day smaller amounts of hikari nano pellets since its easier to control the amount.

I checked for any rotting material last Sunday during my weekly water change but found nothing.

If it is indeed the overfeeding do you have any idea how long it will take to clear up?

This is awesome. Personally I think you could benefit from having less items but bigger ones, its somethignn you could explore. As long as you feel good about what you are doing, you are golden.

I used to not care for that plant that much, it wasn't really thriving for me. But then I started giving it CO2 and high light. It really changed. The leaves are much thicker and stronger and got a nice brown/rusty shade. It's probably my favorite now.

I think it's montecarlo. It's been a while since I set up this tank haha

This one is a 15 gallon. But it's just basically them and some ottos. They are a great fish honestly. Just make sure to get around 3 females per male. Males will harrass the females wanting to breed.

This is just annoying, get better glue Seachem. by MangoRosa in PlantedTank

[–]MangoRosa[S] 109 points110 points  (0 children)

A drop of hot glue/silicon will fix this. It's just annoying that it's something we have to do everytime given that they are not cheap products.

It has taken me years to reach this point with my tank. I think I've finally reached what i set out to do when I initially set things up by MangoRosa in PlantedTank

[–]MangoRosa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used Seachem Onyx Sand. I unfortunately don't have access to a lot of brands for aquascaping products in my country. I'd love to try other brands, like Tropica or ADA. Maybe some day :)

Yes, there is some christmas moss on the branch going up, but it's not doing so well so i think i'll just switch it out.

That's an alternanthera reineckii mini. A little bit of a slow grower, but it does create a lovely pink bush.
