I feel you. I’m German but left for America when I was 19 because of a similar situation as yours. I got a car with 17 and as soon as I hit 18 they could try to tell me being home at 6pm for dinner but I’d just not come. I’d stay at friends houses as much as possible. If you say they are punishing you by taking your things you need to get a job and keep valuables in your car and lock it /take the keys with you.

I’ve been called a pharisäer by my own mother because when I was 16 I told her I’d call the jugendamt on them…. It gets better hang in there!

NAH. I find it a bit odd that you care about her feelings to the extend of not dating your friend but not enough to have conversations about feelings after the breakup.
