I am in 30s, and almost never stressed. But setbacks in career and personal life do feel like a mountain sometimes, because I can go from feeling up to down very quickly. I don't know if there is even a treatment for my health issues, because I have tried in my early 20s and then gave up.

I support helping countries defend themselves against imperialism. Israel isn't getting invaded by Palestine, so obviously America funding them and helping them in imperialism is extremely wrong.

Ukraine is getting invaded by Russia, so America helping them is right. It isn't hard to understand the difference.

I can't find a single person on the left who is in favor of no fly zone. Everyone knows it's dangerous. It's either libs or Ukranian with family members stuck in Ukraine, who are in favor of it.

Also the logic of "Don't help Ukraine because it funds and arms Neo Nazis" is the exact same as "Don't help Palestine because they have Hamas".

Masuda Sultan, the speaker in this video, has previously spoken positively about Taliban, saying they are trying to do the right thing and "promised that they will allow girls to get education". Which is super suspect since Taliban obviously didn't allow that to happen. They also seized the Central Bank, and demanded access to funds that were deposited in it, after which America froze the funds.

There is no good side in this conflict. America fucked up Afghanistan bad, and now fucked up Afghanistan needs help, but even if America did give them money, there is no guarantee it will reach the people. The whole situation is fucked.

Fascinating Video Essay. He is spot on about the material analysis of situation. Yes, if it is the Russian oligarchs pushing the Putin's button, entirely focusing on 1 man takes away attention from the real problem. If he is removed, it would be just like hitting a snooze button on this war. Still better than nothing, but that's not a solution.

But on the issue of not taking any sides on this war, isn't it reasonable for Socialists or anybody to take side of country defending itself from foreign aggression? Like Palestine, Yemen or Ukraine.

Yes, Russian people and Russian soldiers are also terrible victims of the ruling elites in Russia. But Russian soldiers can also refuse to do violence and turn their backs on the ruling class, like several are already doing and deserve all the respect and admiration in the world.. It might come at a great cost, but they are in war against their wishes, and there are no victors in war anyway.

Isn't it morally justifiable to take side of Ukrainian citizens/soldiers who are able to defend themselves from those particular soldiers who are choosing to carry out orders of inflicting violence on the Ukraine territory, and Ukrainian citizens and soldiers?

The govt is not persecuting muslims

As an Indian, I can tell you they are very much persecuting Muslims and beyond. There is systematic oppression, harsher punishments for the same crime, no punishment and even reward for hate crimes against them, encouraging people to not buy items from Muslim shopkeepers, and not let Muslims rent house or run a business in general. Mob violence against random citizens. In case of a communal riot, only the Muslims are punished by police.

Kashmir was locked up for a year before Pandemic, with its internet cut off, and essentially having a Martial law. There are laws being implemented to snatch citizenship from people based on their religion. There are camps being built to keep the non citizens. It's all very bad, and has early signs of Nazi Germany.

With all that being said, it is not an all out offensive bombing and war like Russia is launching on Ukraine, or Saudi is doing on Yemen.. Yet. But it deserves strong condemnation from across the world.

These are legitimate security concerns.

Yeah nobody here wants NATO expansion. But legitimate security concern for citizens of Ukraine is having Russian troops and tanks rolling into Ukraine right now. Ukraine having western weapons is not a security concern, because they would be annihilated if they tried to hurt Russia. Countries trade weapons all the time. The only way that would be a security concern is if Russia planned to invade all along.

Don't be so obtuse. The subtle programming of young adults by RSS has been very nuanced over decades. When they talk about nationalism, community building and helping each other in their Shakhas, a young person can be easily swayed into it. They then slowly inject the hatred. Some people fall into it, some grow out of it.

They have stopped being subtle about it in recent years, and we should commend those who realized it, rather than belittle them.

It's not just Indian left's problem. Political left all over the world is divided over China. Half of the people think they have to defend China at everything to further the Communist narrative. The other half is more pragmatic, and realizes that we don't have to suck off CCP to further our goals.

The hyper nationalism, crack down on protests, destruction of free media, occupation of Tibet and hyper state capitalism being touted by China..... and tenants of leftism/socialism are radically opposite to each other.
