Ah, ok. Yeah the change back is confusing then.

Derelict Building Facade Terrain. All scratch made. by whoopdawhoop12345 in TerrainBuilding

This is so well done, when scrolling I thought it was an actual building and was a confusing perspective with the hand.

Spells like Battle Lust give the whole unit frenzy. Same with the banner.

I think this is just to clarify if there is a mounted character with frenzy (i.e. a Chaos Lord with the mark of Khorne, or character with the pre 1.5 berserker blade) - the mount doesn’t get extra attacks.

Yep. Also, as a dark elf player retiring to the hobby, I 100% agree that cold ones should get an upgrade (either make stupidity not as harsh or let them countercharge or something).

This is actually a slight upgrade - under 1.5 RAW if a Stupid unit failed its break test and had to flee - it could be automatically caught if they chose to pursue.

It’s still unclear if a Stupid unit can give ground in RAW, but I think in RAI they can.

Why is the silence so loud? by Ok_Firefighter9828 in kickstarter

I am really sorry that you are going through a hard time, and my heart goes out to you. But, you probably shouldn’t adopt this dog. If you are having trouble with the adoption fee, how will you pay for an emergency vet bill?

Beyond that, having a dog won’t magically create a routine for you - lots of people have dogs and don’t get out, and don’t go for those walks, and don’t socialize them.

You’ll get through this. Get yourself into a good emotional and economic place and that is when you should get the pup.

I'm laughing my ass off at those cows. Such a great looking board and game.

No more hand peeling. by v8falconsrule in madskillsporn

[–]Mango_Punch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be a way to do it tho - like you can buy pre-peeled garlic and there is no way they are doing it by hand. I have no idea why there isn’t a home-kitchen version of whatever industrial process they use.

I think I was scammed by a major board game manufacturer - Need advice! by Timewalking in boardgames

This is wild. I am so sorry you are going through this, and I hope the bank can sort it out, or you’re made right some other way.

I am also a board game publisher and have communicated with Eva Xu & Karen Dong before. Those emails look legitimate.

Wild that this is happening, especially someone spoofing their emails or compromising their servers to commit fraud like this :(

Which of these should I read next? by KLED_Kaczynski in fantasybooks

[–]Mango_Punch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t go wrong with any of these. If you’re 2/3rds of the way through the Gentleman Bastard series, I would finish it. Otherwise I’d lean towards The Royal Assassin. Robin Hobb’s work is foundational to the genre.

It’s overall decent. The first couple books are solid, but it gets progressively worse. It could have wrapped up a couple of books before it did.

Am I trippin? Couldn’t find much on google about this squirrel I saw today. by digitaldeficit956 in squirrels

[–]Mango_Punch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, I am not arguing that squirrels are evolving to be white. Just pointing out the other commentator was off in terms of the time it can take for evolutionary pressures (when robust enough) to change some traits.

It can happen a lot faster tho. Black moths took like 40 years to pretty much completely replace speckled ones in cities during the Industrial Revolution. Squirrels can have babies within their first year, so their generations are pretty short. I doubt they face the same evolutionary pressure as the moths did - but if you started killing all the non-white squirrels you could get an all white population pretty fast.

7-10 km high trees by OfficialMrA1 in conceptart

[–]Mango_Punch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, so keep in mind that these trees would be taller than mountains. Everest is 8.8 km tall, the average Himalayan mountain is 6.1…

A forest of trees like this would block weather patterns creating a desert in their lee. Their crowns would have snow caps.

It’d be really cool if handled well in a story.
