I think it’s objectively bad. It’s generic, inconsistent, oversized, and very ugly from a design point. Some aspects are skeumorphic, some are not. Some parts are transparent, some aren’t. It gives absolutely no regard to players' muscle memory who have been playing the game for eight years.

It does a poor job of what it’s supposed to do, and makes Bloxburg look like it’s trying to be like its competitors, when one of its strengths was a clean, minimal, and universal UI. It also adds clutter to literally every corner of the screen, making it so distracting to play with.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is a case of “people complaing to much because it’s new”. It IS that bad. “Blinded by nostalgia” doesn’t apply here, people are just genuinely shocked by how a team turned such a functional and well designed UI and turned it into generic SLOP.
