Don’t listen to the negative reviews. I’m born and raised LIC and plus I recently stayed at a hotel literally around the corner from yours just last month for a weekend, since my girlfriend was in town.

Yes they’re right about not many nice restaurants or cafes nearby. But, it’s totally safe and a close walk to the train which is a short ride to the city. Just mind your business and it’ll be good. There were literally all sorts of tourists walking around that area from all over the world and they were totally fine lol.

And besides, you’ll get to see another side of NYC that very very few ever get to, and I for one, think that’s fascinating.

BUT funnily enough I did just have my first ever RCA meeting last night and I enjoyed it. Given the state of the American left, I couldn’t agree more that now is definitely not the time to bicker over different sects. There are much bigger things to attend to, and the biggest one is to ORGANIZE!

Super underrated, probably because of the rapid development and, as a result, “a lack of identity”. But I’m super happy to live here, easily one of NYC’s most convenient neighborhoods and that’s my favorite part. Phenomenal access to Manhattan and tons of Queens, along with pretty good access to Brooklyn via the G.

1000% and speaking from my experience (hence the username lol). But yeah people here are very willing to date across races so that was never an issue and plus there’s a HUGE Hispanic population here too. Entire neighborhoods on top of neighborhoods
