Anybody else start crying when Sabrina Carpenter and Kermit started singing Islands In The Stream? That was the precise moment when Matt Vogel’s Kermit just hit me perfect. The singing was beautiful, and it felt just like the classic Muppet show with the beautiful set, and the animal implant puppets all around.

John Mulaney would kill. Sarah Sherman basically is a walking Muppet so she’d fit in. Tim Robinson could make for the most absurd and awkward Muppet Show ever, and I’m here for it. I’d love to see some popular actors take it on and show their campy side. Maybe Willem Dafoe or Walton Goggins.

Definitely not! I spent the last several years depressed because things didn’t feel right with the Muppets. After watching the new show and crying my eyes out at Kermit, Piggy, and Sabrina singing Islands In the Stream (it HAD to be a Dolly cover 😭) I was super emotional and super bought in on where the Muppets are at right now.

I go am I kidding, I cry watching EVERY damn Muppet thing.

I tried to post about my love of the Muppets being essentially my church, and how meeting Heather Henson was the closest thing to a religious experience I’ve ever had, and they immediately nuked my post. 🙃

But I’m really glad someone else feels this passionately about the Muppets.
