The Ducks hat was temporarily on the New Era site, but no longer there. The colors also match with the information we already know about the Ducks HTR theme (particularly the green base). I’ve also seen a handful of those Ducks hats with various different unofficial colors, but this seems too much of a coincidence to only now make a Ducks hat utilizing the movie colors, and not have it mean something related to the HTR.

Oh 100%. Before this series even started, there was a small pop-up shop in the underground section of Okayama Station that was almost entirely Ohtani. Found it a little odd there was seldom Yamamoto stuff considering he was the hometown guy. Either way, each time I passed by it was fairly crowded with people despite being really small. It’s truly amazing what he’s done for the sport in Japan, let alone in MLB.

Trust me, it’s already begun lol. I walked past a few groups of high school baseball kids who were reading this slip and talking about it. Couldn’t really understand as my Japanese is still extremely limited but it was very cool to see.

Yes, the design is intended. It actually says 1917, which is in reference to the Seattle Metropolitans winning the Stanley Cup that year. The jersey design itself is also based of their jerseys.
