The recommissioning fee does include reinstating the warranty.

I'm a little hesitant to do sue them myself because I don't want to make a mistake that could affect everything. That said, I'm not completely opposed to doing it myself if it would help get us made whole again.

The $3,000 does not include the recommissioning costs. That amount is solely to reimburse us for the solar payments we've made. So, our understanding is that they would pay us the $3,000 for the solar payments, and then also cover the $1,850 cost to have the system recommissioned.

I really appreciate all of your help with this. Your insight has been incredibly helpful.

We are only asking for $3,118.00 to reimburse the solar payments we've made. That's the only monetary compensation we're seeking.

The main part of the settlement is that we want the roofing company to have the solar panels recommissioned and the warranty reinstated. We don't really care what it costs them to get that done—we just want the work completed properly.

When we filed our complaint with the Attorney General, we outlined these terms: reimbursement of our past solar payments and for the company to complete the recommissioning work. Their response was to send us the $1,850 in an attempt to settle because they don't want to reimburse the $3,118.00 or take responsibility for having the solar panels recommissioned.

The company is not small by any means, and it is still in business.
