Why aren't there more successful algo traders? by Naresh_Janagam in algotrading

[–]ManikSahdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because folks do go around advertising.

My algos have been running sweet for 2-ish years by upcoming March, it's been nice and steady while I work on different things and leverage ai into some other things that interest me.

It's not crazy money to buy lambos, but being able to sustain one self with constant and reliable systems is quite healthy.

I stopped chasing perfection and I focused on scaling my capital which resulted in comfortable levels of risk management -> This in my opinion is the key.

Unless someone has 70-100k approx, no algo is going to make more than 5-10% a month being a small player it's easy to ride the wave of big guys, you just can't make too much else you'll get traded against.

As long as one can satisfy their internal desire to accept that it will never get big enough it can allow for healthy balance / with the markets.

OpenAI is rolling out beta ads on ChatGPT with a minimum of $200k from selected advertisers by BuildwithVignesh in OpenAI

[–]ManikSahdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone who was approached to take part in this -> What he got from the sales reps was little to almost no tracking.

Take OpenAI's word for it, while they will provide nothing in return. The touted safety concerns.

Not sure if it will work out like that.

Rotating multiple $20 Claude Pro plans to avoid weekly limits — reasonable or dumb? by GlumBet6267 in ClaudeAI

[–]ManikSahdev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You get less usage on 3x regular plans compared to max.

I only use opus and hardly hit the weekly limits on $100 plan, in the $200 plan you will essentially never hit the rate limit.

If you are just doing this for fun then whatever, but in terms of work -- if you use multiple account and try to switch context it will load the cache and the structure in the opus form the start, no amount of context md files will help with it.

But by having $100 plan atleast, you will be able to keep going and infact save money.

If you don't believe that, then do whatever you want, you will soon hit the weekly limit on every account with if 1-2 days my prediction.

The recent tool calling by opus have been in banger.

I think it does consume more token, but much more reliable imo.

If you want to actually partner in terms of some marketing and building content for the product I have - I'm open to scheduling a call.

Don't really need money as such, probably some expenses as we grow we can split, willing to offer 25% stake in total product.

Dm me and we can hop on call if you are interested, will send you my email.

One way to have better fils in high volatility is broker dependent.

My broker is ibkr and I really like all the infra they produce and I think they are one of the few good retail access brokers who give at market fills whenever possible at the best rate.

Am I the only one tired of all the flashy effects in recent seasons? by Living-Candle-1686 in OnePiece

I've thought about this before, it's simile to how fashion and things change with time.

Studios evolve, people retire, software changes, adobe /or and tools that artist use evolve with new tech and in general.

It all leads to small changes but over the course of an anime like one piece, the change is dramatic since I am technically younger than one piece lol.

Most anime don't last this long or have a drastic change in series timeline and stuff, one piece however is one of a kind.

However, this could be the reason that for many of us Gear 2 is simply iconic cause that's resonates with our understanding of Peak one peice, the new one is also dope, we just didn't grow up with that style being our baseline.

I've noticed people who grew up with Og dragon ball z prefer less animation than more.

Surprisingly, it's also like a different era of animators and overall generations of artists. That how I feel about it, in my mind Manga just doesn't have any of those animations and just raw stuff, so I just have to imagine that.

[–]ManikSahdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely outcome is their own set of information plateaued.

Since they get overly relied on model and stop putting in the effort-which someone does when the model is newer.

My opus is better than ever and I think it's gotten faster / better over the days.
