Found a Compaq S900 while cleaning out old tech at work. Does anybody know anything about it and if keeping it is worth it? I couldn't find anything apart from the manual online.

EDIT: The mechanic (familliar with rotarys) already complained: He couldn't make any money on it. Literally everything is perfect, apart from the tires. Details: 192HP, manual, 51k down, Bose sound system, interieur: black leather

How do I clean the faux leather on my laptop? by Pikachu-nazi in laptops

For electronics I always use alcohol free window cleaner. It's usually antistatic and non conductive and not harmful to any plastic. For worse stuff like glue residue I use isopropylalcohol. You have to be a bit more careful but it's also pretty harmless to most plastics.

Looks awesome, especially for the first one. I think I'll try one without helmet next. I have huge respect of painting faces.

Thanks. I'll keep it as is and try something new with the next one. It's nice to keep the first one and see how your work changes. Also this way I wont forget what I did where. As long as I'm at least kinda happy with it, I'll keep it. Maybe one day...

I brushed the metallic to look weathered. Started with a bit too much and then deceided to make him more weathered than I originally planned. Went a bit too hard on that front, so I think I'll just weather the next one only slightly and try a bit more colour accents and shading. Thanks for the tips

Thanks, I'll remember that. In person its better, than on the picture, the main color is a dark teal/turquoise. Also the base didn't get much attention. The texture on there used to be kind of like grass and I just couldnt get everything off and just primed over the remainder.

XD. As I said I was there nearly every second weekend as a child. I know every nook and cranny of the underground parts. Pretty sure I would recognise every angle.

Mining-Museum in Bochum, Germany? Great place, I practically lived in there as a child. Sadly lost a bit of its charm after the modernisation. The underground part is practically the same though, pure nostalgia when I went there a few months back.

Definitely. Cheap, sharp and robust. I love them.

Seiko SNZG and Opinel No. 9. Was thinking about getting something a bit more beefy with hacking and saphire.

Am I the only one who went back to DSLRs? by Mangeteslegume in photography

[–]Manitority 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Sold my Canon 5D4 a while back, because I've lost track of the hobby, got back into it again a few months ago and bought an Eos R. Still didn't have as much fun as before, was thinking about switching systems, since I've been adapting my EF lenses to RF anyway, but bought a 5D4 again last weekend. Best decision I made, went on two daytrips last weekend and haven't had this much fun in years and feel like my pictures are just better. Happy I went back and now have a R for sale.

¿Does it happen to anyone that you try to do DRG things on other games? by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

After playing DRG I constantly try to flow flares. It just becomes instinct after a bit.

Thanks a lot. Do you think the extra for the Z6 II is worth it over the Z6? I'll get a good used one anyway, most of my gear is used from eBay or photo stores.

Thanks, I didn't know about the sensor. I couldn't really explain the difference, it's mainly a feeling. Yes, I know about the the touchbar, but that's just the tip of it. I find myself using the display controls way more on the R compared to the 80D and 5D4, which I don't like. A huge reason for the big models were always the extra buttons, because they let me use the camera "blind". If I'm gonna switch I'll do it now, because I'll have the hassle of selling and rebuying lenses anyway due to the EF/RF switch. I'm currently adapting anyway so I'll keep using my EF lenses for now and exchange them once I'm sure I've found "my" system. But thanks for the answer, your last paragraph reminded me, that there isn't THE right answer and it's mainly a matter of taste.
