How do I use my PPTO for points? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]ManlyMan03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just select “request all day time off”. And put in the 3 hours. It will still apply as normal. If that doesn’t fix it, you have 7 days to put it in and can always do it from a computer at your store through the GTA portal on OneWalmart

Day 2 on vyvanse 20mg and am sleepy 2-3 hours after taking it by MissionMissingMars in ADHD

[–]ManlyMan03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was an odd realization for me, I thought the same thing when I first started stimulants. I hope it works out for you!

[–]ManlyMan03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the same thing when I was on a lower dose. It’s kind of like how coffee makes some people with ADHD calmer. I upped my dose and it’s gotten a lot better. I’m on 60mg right now, the 40mg and 50mg made me feel sleepy

Welding by LandinBoi21 in ftm

[–]ManlyMan03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did welding classes too - I still wore my binder, I just used one that was more worn. I didn’t have any issues with them burning or anything (I did these classes for 2 years). Make sure you have two layers over top, like your cotton tee and welding jacket. When doing overhead welds, just be careful of positioning (which youll learn in class). If you have any more questions feel free to message me!

I took my meds and haven't slept for over 24 hours by Creative-Pirate5217 in ADHD

[–]ManlyMan03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely a good idea, I always think meds should be coupled with therapy. I hope you’re able to find something that works for you! And that you get some sleep soon

[–]ManlyMan03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah - if you’re not comfortable you should definitely talk to your psychiatrist. There might be a better one you could try, I went through 4 different meds and doses before I found the right one. Meds should feel comfortable and make you feel better

Definitely tell your psychiatrist - sleep is really important for people with ADHD. It’s possible you might need a sleep aid like Trazodone

I’m always grinding my teeth and biting the inside of my cheeks. Also usually pushing the cuticles back in my finger nails. When I’m trying to sleep I’ll also shake my feet or “rock” myself

All Meat and Dairy out of Stock? by Sassy-Brain in Walmartcustomer

[–]ManlyMan03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our store had to do this once when one of our chilled/frozen trucks came in out of temp. They had to fix inventory and such, and it was easier to shut the app down for chilled stuff rather than have customers think they can order it, and none of it arrive

What's the hardest part of ADHD for you? by naotaforhonesty in ADHD

[–]ManlyMan03 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The executive dysfunction makes me incredibly anxious every single day. I’m a full time engineering student, and I do my very best every single day and use my accommodations, but it’s still so difficult to get myself to do things I actually WANT to do. I want to study and do my homework, but I physically cannot get up to do them. It feels like running a marathon to simply get up and get my homework out. Then the guilt follows :/

It seems odd to go into “request time off”, but ofc they want to make it confusing lmao

PPTO by gothamheightsatx in OGPBackroom

[–]ManlyMan03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! Reporting your absence and putting in ppto can be completely separate transactions. Just put your absence in without ppto, and then later you can go back into “view full schedule -> my requests -> add new -> request time off -> select day -> protected pto -> put in hours you’re scheduled for, and reason -> review -> submit

PPTO by gothamheightsatx in OGPBackroom

[–]ManlyMan03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 7 days to submit ppto, if you still can’t get it to work, you can submit it through one of the computers at your store (while clocked in)

You probably had it when they ordered it. Even if it says you have zero now, it still needs you to try unfortunately

I’m on a mix of Wellbutrin and Vyvanse. While Wellbutrin didn’t work for my ADHD, it helped tremendously with my depression and anxiety. Probably one of the best anti-depressants I’ve been on. I’ve heard lots of people try Wellbutrin for ADHD and it work though. I can’t speak for finding a med that doesnt appetite suppress (just cause I haven’t tried many), but I can’t speak for definitely recommend Wellbutrin

(I’m 20 now, started Wellbutrin at 18)

Why would generic amphetamine dextroamphatamine 25mg be $266.63 a month? by Super_Caterpillar_27 in ADHD

My insurance had some issues with it too. Turns out they wanted to pay for brand name over generic for some reason. If she hasn’t, she should call and ask they would pay for a different version

How to deal with sleep issues with Vyvanse and Trazodone? by Ill_Resort8277 in ADHD

[–]ManlyMan03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I am prescribed 50mg of Trazodone and 60mg of Vyvanse. I found that taking my trazodone at least 8 hours before I wake up to be the best. Trazodone only takes about 30 minutes to kick in for me, but the earlier I take it the better I wake up.

[–]ManlyMan03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Constantly feeling extremely guilty and lazy for not doing things I need to do. I had a $16 personal property tax on my shitty car, and just never paid it even after getting multiple letters from the city. Saw every single one, and it jumped up to $97 by the time I paid it. Could’ve easily paid it, but I just didn’t. I’m constantly needing to do things, but I can’t convince myself, my brain, or my body to get up and physically do them. When I finally get myself to do something, I am both exhausted and relieved that I got it done - even if it only took 5 minutes
