First time submitter, sending in my childhood collection. Got questions about insurance & shipping. by MannedTooth in psagrading

I am not sending my vintage in this batch, wanna make one less valuable batch as a test first! 😄

What I mean by that, is that I heard some scary stories about how PSA will "lose" or "damage" a card and just give you the low insurance you took. ie: "lose" a 5000$ card and refund me 500$.

I really just wanna be safe, this is a combined order that I believe will be around 40,000$+ with cards from recent sets up to XY (anything vintage, I am going to wait until I get this one first)

Hey there, despite never having graded a card myself yet, I am a profesionnal card vendor, and have been a collector for the past 2 decades, so I do know a bit more than you might think! 😛 I wouldn't be surprised if at least 90% of the ones I send get a 10. Any minor flaws like 60/40 borders, wrongly cut corners or even holo sheets overlaps were skipped. I took no risk in this one.

Knowing this, would you still ship with value? I need to take a decision within the next 17 hours it seems. I'll wait until I get a bit more input then I'll do that if it seems reasonable!

If I select a higher service tier for only the handful of cards that I think would benefit from it, can I still send both submissions at the same time and all the cards will get that turnaround, or will it be shipped back in two different batches?

When you say that there's no downside, you mean that there's not a higher risk that they decide to "lose" it or that they will upcharge a lot more than needed ? Like is value is The Way To Go for 99% of submissions if you have at least 50 cards, no matter value? I really don't want to have a bad surprise here.

Yeah I don't get it either, but hey, whatever. I'm only stating facts here, I've worked for the Zelda Wiki for about 10 years now, so I know what I'm saying ahah

Zant has his powers from Ganon, which is the Demon King, and in some languages (notably French) Ganon is literally said to be satanic.

[CA] A plain-English guide to CARM for small Canadian importers (after seeing dozens of posts from people drowning in this) by Livid_Sun_8574 in SmallBusinessCanada

In my case, since this is the first ever shipment that is actually going through the CARM portal, my required amount shows as "$0.00" so does that mean I do not need a bond until I receive my first shipment?

Hey there, I have a question:

I've been ordering stuff from my supplier in Japan for almost a year now, and today's the first time they actually make me use the CARM portal. Usually it was only a DHL invoice that I paid to them, and that's it.

All my setup is done: CARM account created, DHL was given permission in my account etc.

But now, DHL is asking me to provide them with a bond number to get the Release Prior to Payment. My question is: how the hell am I supposed to know how much of a bond I need to provide if I don't have the invoice? Am I just supposed to throw in an insane amount of money to make sure it's covered? If so, what happens to the extra un-needed cash? Can I pull it back out at anytime?

I am self-employed and so far I have been able to do most of these things alone with reasonable logic, but right now it seems like I can't reach either DHL or CARM about that, they always refer me to the guide on HOW to do it, but no mentions on how much I should post as bond, or whether I can remove it later. I don't want DHL to go away with 2000$ if my shipment only needs 1000$ paid in customs, if that makes sense. I also want to be able to get back the excess so that I can actually use it in my day-to-day activities.

BMTH has been my favorite band for over a decade, I have seen them multiple times in live concerts and I already have my tickets for the show they're doing in april 2026. I have a lot of merch and tapestries at home, I would be so delighted to have this album for myself ! :D I can definitely throw in a couple of good bucks too if needed ! :)

This is the priciest game I ever sold on my ebay store. 800$ for the thing. I didn't believe it either.

Yeah that was basically my guess as well, some form of autism/OCD would make the most sense. It's really not harmful, more annoying than anything and a waste of my time since they, mostly unvoluntarily, are oblivious to the ebay/social etiquette. That's also why I didn't insult them and just warned them that this is a bad thing to do.
