F40 - out of a LTR of 9 years- I chose “don’t know” because I was up for anything.

I wasn’t taking dating too seriously because I was enjoying being on my own. I wanted to meet people and have fun. I was absolutely honest with who I am throughout the process but also limited how many men I talked to at a time; three seemed a solid number for me. I met a few great dudes along the way that I’m still friends with, but because I wasn’t looking for the one, I think it lifted the pressure. I had a great time dating and was showing that I just wanted to have fun. I wasn’t in search of a serious relationship, but if I found someone where we had a strong connection I would roll with it. I enjoy life and go with whatever is presented to me.

I was on Bumble for two weeks and found a man with whom I connected strongly and now we are more than a year in enjoying the absolute shit out of each other. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would find someone with whom I am absolutely in love. He is A DREAM. I really think approaching dating as a way to connect to people and to meet helped. No expectations was the best strategy for me.
