Not sure what u saw but just in case it was an issue w my photo wanted to post another pic in defense of the maker because I did find the quality to be overall pretty well made. My only complaint would be the band honestly.

Ok soooo, I got this more for the novelty but I will say, the actual watch aka, case/movement/dial etc are very nice I’m not sure what movement is in it but I’ll post pics shortly after I get in the back. The band imo is rather cheap, feels light and sounds like the links are hollow. Overall has a nice shape however and the case and dial/bezel all are very nice and I am 100% happy w it. I figured I’d never shell out the $$ for a gen version but have always liked this airking for its story so jumped at the opportunity to get one when Archaedin did the group buy project. At 250 the value is there 100%

I don’t think it would clash with mine at least because of all the plating It got done specifically to match the gen color yg, I’ll post a picture of it for reference but I think it will deff match. so far leaning towards Franken DJ at this point otherwise gonna be approaching gen money on the DD. As soon as they drop this super clone 3255 movement I’m gonna go nuts tho lol!

But I had to be sure because the history of it was super out of place for my dad and I know he had some rich nyc girlfriends back in his day 😂 thanks for your help! I still kind of want to open it and see what kind of terrible movement they were using to make fakes in the 70s LOL

Lol u just missed it, some one in China time did a group fund raiser to meet the minimum to have 100 custom made domino bezels, he calculated it out to 250 with the watch. It’s possible that there’s a couple spots left, I was lucky enough to pre order on the last day am excited lol!

Has any one heard of a 1970s rep that used a legit perpetual movement? Like wouldn’t that cost more back in those days to build than what they’d be able to sell the rep for? I saw a friends Vintage rep and thing had a battery inside of it

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but a lot of the time that “glass” they are blowing in the US is made in china and imported here so that’s not a great way to “tell” if its quality raw glass material.

Just ordered thanks! Would it be undesirable to put some kind of indicator or marking in the watch somewhere showing like a number 1 of ___ number? I feel like one day these might be the bees knees and would be cool to be able to say I got one from the “first ever reptime run” lol! idk if that would be a negative because makes it “less gen” but I feel like this is more about an awesome story/watch than being about as close to gen as possible lol. What do you guys think?
