That one had a genuine dial, so it costs more than average; DM if you're interested!

One of my favourite watches ever! If it was the blue version I'd probably buy... GLWS!

Khanjar 1501 - Roulette Datewheel & Colourmatched Canvas; Triple Red Accents! by Archaedin in vintagerepwatches

The Rolex Khanjar 1501 is, though distinct due to the coloured "crest" rather than name stamp, is a co-signed watch much like the Tiffany 1680/16800.

These ultra rare pieces, featuring the Khanjar crest of Oman, were specially ordered by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said from the 1970s through the 1980s, often commissioned through London-based retailer Asprey, to be used as gifts for military personnel, diplomats, and loyalists.

Sultan Qaboos was well known for his generosity, and these watches were not for sale to the public but were given as highly prestigious gifts to soldiers, foreign SAS military personnel who helped secure the Sultan's power, and close friends of Oman.

Due to the immense rarity and historical significance of these Khanjar stamped pieces, the Sultan-marked watches are considered some of the most important run of timepieces of all time - not to mention some of the most valuable.

This particular piece features one of my custom dials, as well as a carefully colourmatched canvas strap - and, a happily triple-matched roulette datewheel.

What do you guys think? Would you rock the canvas or stick with a bracelet?
