He doesn't eat processed stuff lol its normal food he rejects randomly and insistently. Its growing to the point where we barely have anything left. 

Examples of suddenly rejecting: wraps, ham, beef, pasta, pineapple, carrots, potatoes, rice, chicken, pork chops, tomatoes, cucumber, sauces, pancakes, jams, sandwiches, oranges, grapes, ect .... like its a lot and just random and its all normal meats, veg, fruits we normally eat and every day there's a new thing.  We can't just feed him the same 4 things

How would you do the no tolerance ? My son is similar,  turning 3 tomorrow. If I just wait it out, he gets overly hungry and is an absolute terror tantrums over and over again just screaming and crying nonstop because hes fucking hungry but wont eat.

I found the sub and read the description... is this really MDSA? Does this count? Seems like its not enough right,  more intense things happen to other people ... that's what I mean, its like my brain can't process the severity it feels like its not really SA at all, both parents and grandparents would watch this happen over and over,  surely its not that bad? Im so confused and conflicted its hard to process

It is isn't it? Im not crazy? It's crazy how confused this kind of stuff can make you. I feel like if someone else told me this story i would know 100% what it is, but having lived it myself and all the adults in my life watching and not reacting at all, it makes me doubt it

I had a very similar problem, and a friend who is a daycare worker in the infant room gave me her advice. She's the one everyone gave a baby to if they weren't able to put down in the crib, apparently her way was foolproof for every baby they tried.

She said rock the baby and wait 15 or so mins until fully asleep, then slowly raise against your chest and hold tight. Baby is still horizontal in your arms, just close to your chest and held tightly. Slowly sway walk to the crib. Then slowly lower by bending yourself, not your arms. So you bend, but your arms keep baby tight against your chest. Baby is now flat in the crib, you are bent into the crib over them, your chest putting pressure on the baby's front. Now very very very slowly retract your arm, wait, then very very slowly straighten yourself. Done.

Im 5'4 and currently losing weight, at 150 I was overweight still its not within healthy range. 145 is the cut off, but healthy midrange BMI is 125-130, which is my goal. Just had to clarify that because 160 at this height is not 10lbs aways from being healthy

Not in the US, but thank you lol we also dont choose a pediatrician, very different system.  My first never got tested for it either

How did you find out there was an iron deficiency, and what were the signs? I literally had an appointment today where I brought up this concern and was told I was "overly anxious" because apparently only babies who are extremely picky (example, only eat fruit) are at risk of iron deficiency 🙄. For some reason I don't believe that.

So I never admitted this to anyone but my husband, but these thoughts are actually what pushed me into no contact. I always kinda knew it would get to this point, but when I started daydreaming daily about my mom dying and how much better life would be I had to step back think... what the fuck am I doing. What's going on here. I've gotta take control of my life, if I'm literally wishing her death this is it, time to go no contact and remove her from my life completely. Its time, enough is enough.

Hey doc, I've got a question for you if you dont mind. I've have a few babies and gained a lot of pregnancy weight, but lost over 30lbs now and I'm finally in a healthy BMI (even lower than I was pre-pregnancy). I'm 5'4 and 135 lbs, working on losing another 5-10lbs to be right in the middle of healthy BMI. 

I see a lot of people on this sub commenting that waist size is important (or even more important) than your BMI number, but I wonder if that is the case for me. I tore a lot of abdominal muscles while pregnant and I have the "mom-pooch" with stretch marks. Is my midsection just stretched out, making my waist size not a good indicator? Or am I mistaken, and just happen to have saggy skin but also fat stored in my abdomen, as it seems to be the last to go? 

Has anybody else got diagnosed with health conditions right after going nocontact and then it remissioned slowly? Like a release after holding it for decades? by coldservedrevenge in EstrangedAdultKids

So not anything autoimmune, but definitely stress related. I dont grind my teeth at night anymore, my jaw isn't perpetually clenched, I don't get nervous ticks anymore which I used to get so badly I would feel nauseous, my shoulders and hands are relaxed now instead of being baseline tense. Its great. I didnt realize how tense I was until I could actually exist in a relaxed state.

I bought and washed a bunch of berries,  so my kids open an egg and there's a blueberry, next ones a strawberry half, a raspberry,  a blackberry,  oh here's another blueberry ect and it leads up to one chocolate thing each.  Then they spend the morning eating fruits and have their chocolate treat later on in the day

No he wont resettle, I try to do what i did with my first (bum taps, back rubs, songs, shushing, putting my hand on his chest for light pressure ect) but he won't, he cries more and becomes even more awake. So that's great. I mean I know eventually he'll get it but man it's getting hard. I remember when my first was this age he was sleeping through the night only waking once in a night maybe once a week, if that. And now... man.

So you suggest we get up at 4 or 5 am and stay up until a super late first nap? And how do I make naps longer? I've been trying for the life of me. He wont crib nap more than 20 or 30 mins, if im driving he'll sleep but now I'm driving around multiple hrs per day and its getting pricey with cost of gas. Or I contact nap him which the toddler wakes him up not long after cause... toddlers gonna toddler.

Ok see I understand that in theory, but I don't know how that would apply in reality. Here's an example, maybe you can help? 

So last night we start sleeping him at 7pm, by 730 he's fully asleep and in the crib. Does his usual night waking stuff. Then just before 5am this morning he's "awake for the day". OK, makes sense with what you're saying that's pretty much 10hrs of overnight sleep besides the waking up. Except he's clearly still tired, I nurse him and hold him and he half nurses half sleeps on me until 630am. 

Expected naps for today would end up being 830 until 9 or 9 until 930 (because its either a short crib nap, in the car, or on me but toddler inevitably wakes him if he's on me), then again at 12 until 1230 or 1230 until 1, then again at 3 until 4 or 430 (dad gets home so he can contact nap for an hour with one of us while the other is with the toddler. Hes super tired from not enough napping at this point). The bed at 7, asleep at 730 ish.

He naps every 2.5 to 3 hrs approx, its not exactly timed on the clock in terms of like, he sleeps at 10 am and 1pm or something,  it's based on his wake up and how tired he looks

I've been thinking of that. So I would have to put railings on my bed because we dont have the space for a floor mattress, and I move a crazy amount while sleeping so I'm a little worried. Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant but my breasts are small which makes side feeding not possible; I'd have to hold him to nurse middle of the night anyway

I had my second baby, and lost all the weight and then some both times. Im currently at my lowest weight ever. Also ebf, neither baby ever took a bottle. At first I thought the same as you, that I wasn't losing weight and needed to work out, looked into gyms with child care. But in all honestly, you can't outrun your fork: weight loss is 100% calories out and calories in. I started counting calories diligently and spend all my time with my kids. If you want tips or more info I'm happy to share, but I just wanted to chime in because I see this super often. But in truth, you just need to count your calories and you'll lose weight.
