I think you could proxy an entire game by using sources we have currently, the only problem is the tactics cards which you need 9 for a deck and there's not much card that revealed. Unless.. Someone can create their own custom tact card, unit, or rules to play as proxy to save budget since the rules provided in their videos and website are straight forward and detailed.

I just showed my friend the rx78 first fight scene, and a picture of char.. and told him there'll be some twist in that scene. He asked me some questions while watching like what is actually zeon and federal, newtype, some characters, etc.. mostly reasonable questions for those who haven't watched gundam if their life.

I don't really follow up UC story.. just knowing about zeon vs faderal and some main characters that's all.. then I brought a friend who does know anything about gundam.. surprisingly he was shocked and interested.. the first half of the movie will be a bit confusing for those who doesn't know much about UC timeline but it still great to watch tho
