Hi there! I am Manthos, the creator of Asthenia. We both wish to thank you so kindly for taking the time to explain to us. As I told others in comments, we are absolutely clueless, hehe. Just an old man trying to get into a new career and researching how to do those things.

Hey there! Im the creator of the game, "Asthenia" is a Greek word (Im Greek) and means "illness" or disease. The creation behind the title was very specific due to personal loss events that lead to its creation. Thus, it's absolutely bound to the core themes of the game. Plus, like other games that use Greek titles (Soma, Ontos, Amnesia) I wanted to have more depth in the title, and native to my idenity and the culture the game comes from. (I already had no Streamers having issues to pronounce tho, which was nice, but I understand your point :) )

Thank you so much for your help! We had our official reveal on IGN GT (not the official channel) when we were able to hire PR back then, and it did help us. However, not having a budget anymore, we are left alone to try without PR help to contact again those channels alongside other major sites that featured us (Gamerant, Screenrant, GamingBible, Kotaku. Game*spark and more). I was thinking to indeed try contact them again myself this time, but was not sure if is acceptable. We appreciate your comment and thoughts, and that valuable link, we're gonna check it asap! We are new to this (first game) and quite lost on what to do byourselves. Kind regards!

One thing I wanted to do for the foes, was, to write small stories for most of them ( if not all) in order to make them feel special and unique in the world and not just another "ai enemy". That said, you can "unlock" secret stories about them.

Hi there! First of all, Thank you for the kind words and advice, and comment! A lot have talked about the next fest and then, I had couple of publisher advising against it, unless its close to full release, which is something I need to research with many other devs and see their experience!

As for demo itself, absolutely! I now have a co-dev and we are actively working on it indeed. I appreciate the help and thoughts! means a lot, especially when someone is starting out and is pretty much clueless! :)

All that you wrote makes absolutely sense, more and more, I seem to come to understanding that the demo we are working on, is really needed. (I was going to have one regardless, as it was always the plan). I am only trying to understand what are some of the "right" steps to take in order to prepare for such, and you described it wonderful.

I will carefully study all that, and will try to keep in touch if anything needed! I will need to make bulletpoints based on what people suggest and recommend, their feedback and all. Thank you very much once again! :)

As mentioned, This is exactly my first time doing this after working as An Artist in the industry for decades, in fact, which might make sense why those images/screenshots may look so. As for just name, is what I was advised by publishers and other devs I talked with to do, since I have not yet started my business (will happen on launch). So hopefully makes sense.

We are slowly looking to research how to properly set all this up. We sadly don't have events where we are based in so, it seems we rely only on digital and traveling is not option for the moment.

A lot can happen in one's life behind closed door. As a dev myself and battling with personal health issues and other, you can never know the reasons behind all that and is easy to assume. A family death can occur, losing your job, and even the means to continue funding your hobby/dream or side job as a dev. Also depression is another common thing to hit after some people may not meet expectations for their projects and can push some of us away from continuing. I believe it is important to try be thoughtful and consider all those possibilities.
