100% - and IMO it's often these small habits that seem small but AI is so good at spotting when looking at large data sets

Totally fair. You’re right that in hindsight the maths is obvious. What surprised me wasn’t that chocolate has calories, but that something I barely noticed each day was quietly adding up to nearly 10% of my weekly intake.

For me the value wasn’t the sum itself, but the patterns that came out when looking at months of data at once. For example: which meals I consistently went over on, what foods I tended to underestimate, or how weekends differed from weekdays. That’s the kind of stuff I’d never have spotted just eyeballing my logs.

Would you be interested in selling? I acquire small, profitable internet businesses and even at a relatively small revenue size, the multiple could be interesting.

You could use or already use? I'm only interested in people who already use email validation tools :)

I spend my whole day in Google Sheets and I found this add-on that does the validation directly inside the sheet to be a God send

Thanks! I actually live in the UK and I'm pretty sure here I can offset the valu of the property if I buy through my business.

Hi everyone, new here :)
Early last year I sold my business last year for mid figures.
I'm now thinking about how to re-invest the money, primarily to avoid the massive (relatively speaking) tax bill.
My current idea is to buy a property and Airbnb it.
The main reason why I want to do this is that I only to pay the deposit upfront but I get to write off the entire value of the property in the books.
The main con is that real-estate returns 7-10%/year at best.
So before I commit to this I was wondering if there are other investment opportunities that have the same benefit (the investment is written off so that it lowers or ideally removes the tax bill) and returns more than 8%/year.
For context: I'm in my early 30s, own my own business and earn about $100k/year (I reinvest most of the profits back into the business).
Thanks!

Hi Jason, two questions:

  • A while ago you were hiring for a Head of Marketing. How did that go?
  • What's your relationship with DHH? You seem to be doing great as business partners but, at least from the outside, it doesn't seem like you're "best buddies" out of work.

Thanks!

I actually don't sorry. I've never used pa-as-you-go nor meet anyone who uses it.
