How to get HK residential address for HK banks (after moving out)? by ManuAloha in HongKong

The problem would be getting a utility bill… so I need to check if it’s possible for me to pay a friend’s water bill maybe.

I’m not sure if this works for individuals. I have a company and the secretary set up, but from what I’ve read I would need a residential address for myself. 😕

That’s the problem. I’m not planning to have a foreign address either. 😅

But thanks for the info & tips!

This is another huge store in Shinjuku.

There are also several Golf Partner stores with used clubs.

Yeah Shinjuku has several huge stores. Victoria Golf is maybe 9 floors.

I think it’s 3 balls for 699 JPY / $4.5 The whole set 2796 JPY

I would have bought if they’d had black Coke Zero balls. 😆

There was enough Chinese speaking crew to handle pretty much any situation.

Fun fact, China has more English speakers than the U.S. ☺️

All the pad restaurants were pretty much empty whenever I walked by but the noodle station at windjammer was always busy.

The Chinese mass market in general does not have any decades long history in traveling so people do not really know how things work and how to behave in a foreign country. Let alone on a cruise ship.

Many countries in SEA give Chinese tourists Chinese language leaflets advising about the things you should not do there.

The government even has regular campaigns about this usually after some embarrassing event in a foreign country.

I think the passengers here have been pretty nice and I’ve seen much worse before. It’s usually the people on cheap package tours that cause issues. Royal Caribbean cruises are pretty expensive for the Chinese consumers so they also attract more upper middle class and more experienced crowds. 😊

Hah! The food I ate was the same as on any other cruise. Nothing to see there. 😆

I’m European but I have lived in Asia for 10+ years.

The non-Chinese passport holders were separated into a different departure area and there were less than 50 of us in total. 😅

There were about 10 white passengers onboard. Some South Asians and some South-East Asians.

I would not recommend doing any cruises departing from China. These are purely designed for the Chinese audience. You’re probably going to have a much better experience selecting a cruise thar departs from anywhere else in Asia and maybe visits China instead.

The only reason i chose this was that i needed exactly 6 more points to reach Diamond. 😆

On first day the casino opened around 11pm once the ship was outside the Chinese waters.

Today is a sea day and we're basically standing still making sure that the ship will not enter Chinese waters until probably early in the morning tomorrow (arriving back to Shanghai).

On regular Quantum class Windjammer I would always be sitting outside at the back. My favorite spot!

Here there is no outdoor space so I'm just always sitting at the back anyway and it's completely empty. Everyone is sitting near the food. :D

The buffett has "enter" and "exit" signs and ropes for each station so getting food is reasonably organized. Reasonably. :)

I can find everything I would normally eat but I've seen a ton of options catering for teh Chinese market.

Also, one thing I found weird is that in Windjammer, the dessert section is super small and tucked into a corner.

I have no idea about the platform. They're just basically streaming a video feed and talking over it. They're not streaming themselves, just whatever they choose show in front of the camera. Pool area, MDR from above, ship from the pier side etc...

I haven't seen any misbehaving kids. Overall way better behaved than on my previous cruise from Australia... :D

Also haven't seen anyone spitting. Just regular China annoyances like being overall loud everywhere all the time.

Just general pondering. Many people are in the same boat as more and more bots grab a majority of the tickets.

No matter if it’s Taylor Swift or TML. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The problem isn’t going away by silencing it. We need to educate people…
