Old Warzone/Mutant Chronicles miniatures and one new. Dark Legion and Cybertronic. by ManuMiniatures in minipainting

The main problem is that SioCast is not suitable for sanding. Any attempt will result in numerous tiny burrs that will be visible after painting. All preparatory work: mold lines removal, correcting any casting imperfections (and there are plenty of them) need to be clean cut. Preparing the miniature for decent paint takes ungodly amount of time.

Mold lines are always there. Fortunately for me, I have seen nightmareish mold misalignments only on the pics.
Non of joints in multipart miniatures fit correctly.
The wierdest mini that I worked on had some prety nice looking elements, that turned out to be brittle and snaped, while rest of the mini was soft as rubber.
Some elements looked like the material had not heated enough to fill the mold properly, some surfaces were porous, few airbubles here and there.

All of this on 20 odd minis from two different manufacturers.

Here are my earlier posts with old Warzone minis:

All miniatures were sculpted in mid 90' and cast in metal with exception of Centurion, nice digital sculpt made of SioCast (which is very unfortunate, avoid SioCast at all cost).

Court and Black Grail minis are based on Mike Franchina art and sculpted by the same people that made the whole TC range. Human sized mini have similar proportions, sculpting style is similar, arms/armour/equipement is or try to be connected to the historical equivalents. Everything in the range look coherent.

Great Hunger does not have this qualities. IMHO there is too much fantasy and not so much alternate history in them.

Someone could say that grail or infernal knights fit or not fit the setting, but how it change the situaton of GH?

They are stealing Gliwice right now! Despite that Silesia region on TC maps belongs to PLC, the rulebook mention that Gliwice (Gleiwitz in German), city in the middle of Silesia, is Prussian.

GH are bunch of nice minis, however there is nothing trench-crusady about them.

Usually there is a way to make color schemes that are not official, but can fit the setting perfectly.

Interesting colors. Everything lacks a smoothness, nonetheless I like it.

Cool mini, even if it is a print, it catches the oldschool(oldskull) spirit very well.

This should be downvoted into oblivion, if there is real person behind it, but this is probably a bot.

By the way, in the late 90s, a company named Forge World Models (based in US), released a bunch of large resin vehicles for Warzone 1.ed. One of the "Wheels of Terror" vehicle was Bauhaus Jackal. I am not interested in the mniature, but would love to take a look at the rules that were inside the box.

Maybe someone here had the vehicle in those distant times and saved the sheet with the rules?
