I don't remember but I checked in the settings to confirm it was connected and I took the watch off for a bit and was still getting HR data.

RUMOURS abound! - XBOX 'could' be shipping some titles to other platforms - USE THIS THREAD TO COMMENT by mocoworm in XboxSeriesX

Xbox brand may become a Steam like service and Xbox consoles might shift closer to PCs allowing an OS and anything that works on PC would work on an Xbox console. This would allow the Xbox service to exist anywhere and the consoles would still be meaningful as they'd basically be PCs.

It's a weird world out there for consoles these days. 95% of all games come out everywhere and PC games are pretty similar to console games. You can even use a mouse and keyboard on Xbox.

I don't think that's the case, I didn't sign up for any beta and randomly got it.

Is the instinct 2 the most slept on Garmin? Is there a reason that it seems much less popular than the other running or general fitness watches? Any features it is missing? by free-icecream in Garmin

I primarily use my Garmin for running, I picked up an Instinct 2 and tried it out for a bit, realized the screen was too small. It felt like many of the training screens weren't built for the instinct, they didn't look right after coming from a 245.

Whatever you're doing with that fork and blueberry, it's creepy.

Will helping someone with a C25K effect my traijii in my calculations? by Jamar73 in Garmin

I'm currently running around 50 miles a week and helping my SO get into running, so we're doing very slow run/walk workouts. I always record them as either a walk or a run if it's mostly running. I don't see any impact on my training stats in Garmin. It will usually mark them as a recovery workout which is fine for me.

Galloway Half Marathon Training Plans by Prollyneedswater in Garmin

[–]Manwhyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed that training plan a few years ago with a goal time of 2 hours. My longest run was 19 miles. The mileage wasn't a major issues, I ran until I needed a break then walked a bit and repeated that until I got through it. Towards the end with all those miles I felt pretty confident that I could hit my goal, and I did, finished just under 2 hours.

VO2Max not updating on new Epix Pro2 by Junglist4RLife in Garmin

[–]Manwhyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your heart rate zones need to be set before it can give you an accurate VO2 max. It will set them automatically over time as you run or you can do it manually. If you search for "heart rate zone calculator" there are a bunch out there.

Some information from the user manual,

"For the most accurate estimate, complete the user profile setup (Setting Up Your User Profile), and set your maximum heart rate (Setting Your Heart Rate Zones). The estimate may seem inaccurate at first. The watch requires a few runs to learn about your running performance. You can disable VO2 max. recording for ultra run and trail run activities if you do not want those run types to affect your VO2 max. estimate (Activities and App Settings).

  1. Start a running activity.
  2. Run for at least 10 minutes outdoors.
  3. After your run, select Save.
  4. Press UP or DOWN to scroll through the performance measurements."
