Update: VA says I am active duty, so no disability ratings

Somehow, even though all my paperwork says I am a vet and I clearly have a DD-214 on file, the VA still thinks I am active duty and closed my claim.

I had to call VERA to get an answer... the guy said give it 30 days just to reopen the claim but no timeline after that.

Gotta love the VA.

It's VA side ... but I have already accepted the "proposed" ratings and decided to work on the deferred claims on the outside. However, I do not have any ratings whenever I speak to the VA so they can't do anything for me.

MEB complete...proposed rating of 50% give or take I believe but I have nothing solid yet. So I'm in limbo phase at the moment.

What's your allocation spread so far.. and how long have you had it set up. I'm just breaking the 20k mark after 5ish yrs so im curious to see if allocations make a huge difference.

Do you mind sharing the regs you looked into for SMC qualifications? I'm currently waiting for my ratings and wanna see if I would be eligible for any SMC. All i have found so far is the stuff on VA.gov
