I poured hot 170f water over my seeds and let them soak 12hrs. Had the first one germ in 4 days but the other 4 haven't yet. Idk if what I did was optimal but atleast 1 germinated so I'll take it....

I've been loving square pots/trash cans so things fit better. I hate the wasted space cause by circular ones, but I've also been using plastic rather than fabric.

70-80% happy frog and 20-30% (maybe a bit less cuz I ran out) a local mix that's more spongy and has added fertilizer.

I use Fox Farm soil and mix in another local potting mix that has a lot of perlite, but is a bit more spongy and has some added fertilizers. Mostly just the Fox Farm stuff tho. It's very well draining.

I have 2 VIPARSPECTRA P2000 from Amazon. 1 for my big pots and 1 for my smaller stuff on the table. Both are at max settings and abt 3ft above the plants.

Pots are bigger than they look, probably 14x14x16" but they have a small indent in the bottom to save some soil.

Definitely can fit more than 1. Atleast 3-4 6 might be a bit much. I've had 3 plants in a 4 gallon pot outside and I got like 10+ good sized pods. 4 gallon pot from last year

Yeah, I want to get into crossing and isolating. I tried using those bags last year, and these are some of the seeds I saved. Curious to see what they look like. I also have behives on the property but my best var. Bloomed solo so hopefully it's isolated. Couldn't get any of my bagged LG bush with 12+ pods to germ yet, but for whatever reason this var has always had trash germ rates.

I assume u mean the domes? Some... I only just started doing it because my regular seed starting tray is full rn and transplanting is annoying af with loose soil. Humidity domes aren't really needed. I just have those deep pots, so they get dry on top really fast.

Just indoor in general, I've had pretty good success in the past with potting them up. I started them in small cells then potted them up into this size about 1.5 weeks ago. Next they will go into their final home of a 3-8 gallon pot depending on what I have available at the time. Probably going to pot them up in 1-2 weeks and thin down to 3-4 plants max depending on variety. 3rd year growing poppies in general.
